Park tix question

I am staying in a friends DVC and will be purchasing tix from an official Disney reseller site. I will be buying a 6 day park hopper but plan on taking a day off in the middle. Can I do 3 days, day off, and another 3 days or do I have to use the 6 days consecutively?

The ticket is good for 14 days starting on the first day that it is used. So you can visit the parks on 6 different days during a 2-week period if you want. You will be fine doing 3 park days, taking a day off and then using the last 3 days on the ticket.
