Help! I have booked my resort and airlines for February 2006. I need to buy my park tickets but I don't know what to do. I have 3 children - dd (7), ds (5) and dd (2). I want to get a 5 day pass with no expiration but I don't know if I should get the park hopper option or not. I think we will be doing a park in the morning and then taking an afternoon break and then going back, however this could change. Does anyone have any suggestions on if I should get the park hopper or not? I think we will be visiting MK the most followed by AK. Thanks....Kelly

I don't think you need to spend the extra bucks for park hopper option. If you are planning on spending the day in one park broken up by afternoon break. You are not planning on park hopping anyway. There is nothing wrong with that plan the way I see it.So save those bucks to spend on a character meal for you and little ones or extra little treats or gifts.Have a magical time at WDW. :goodvibes :earsboy: :wizard:

I would hate to NOT be able to park hop especially with little ones. Although you will spend most of your time at MK, a park hopper would give you the option of going to MGM just for Fantasmic, or EPCOT just for illuminations. When she was little, our daughter never enjoyed the other parks enough to spend a whole day there even broken up by breaks. Once we left and went to the resort to swim or rest, she didn't want to go back to that park. With a park hopper you could always run over to MK for a favorite ride no matter what other park was on the schedule. I probably wouldn't spend the extra money for the no expiration option. We always go a park at least for a little while. The only risk with them expiring is if someone gets sick.

I think I would get the hopper before the no experation option. If you are going to be at WDW for a week then you would probable use all 5 days. I agree with the other post that said if your kids are little and you don't want to be at one park all day you can go just for Fantasmic or a few favorite rides. When we were there a few weeks ago we were going to get a 5 day pass but when we looked at the price for a 6 day it was like a dollar more. So the price isn't really that much more if you didn't use a day but for us we liked to be able to park hop. We did not get the no exp. option.

Have a great trip!!

we have always gotten the hoppers but this year we didn't b/c of our kids ages we though it was best to go to a park spend the day. we got 5 day tickets and plan to go to MK 2 days, then epcot, ak, mgm 1 each. if the kids get board we can alway head back to the hotel for the afternoon break, the like the pool better then the parks 1/2 the time anyways!!! LOL if you budget alows it fine but it would have bene an extra $140 total for hoppers, and we didn't see it was worth it at all.

Thanks for all the advice. I guess I didn't realize we could add the park hopper later. That may be what we end up doing. :earsboy:

Are you going to be at WDW for the entire 5 days? If so, don't add on the non expiring feature until you know whether you are going to need it. Same with the park hopper option. If you get to a park and think "oh, it would be nice if we could go to say Epcot from the AK today and see Illuminations and have dinner, then add it. Get the most basic ticket to start and you have 14 days from the 1st day of use to add on to it at any of the Guest Relations at any of the parks, or at Downtown Disney. The 14 days to add on applies to all tickets, even those that are non expiring.

I also recommend waiting to see if you need it. Plan your trip so that you know what parks you will do on what day. Arrange your PS's. Decide what character meals, if any, you will do and when. This should give you a clearer picture as to whether you will need the hopper option. If you do, add it.

I had no idea we could add on after. So glad to know we can. We are going for 7 nights and plan on 5 days in the parks. Probably MK 3, AK 1 and then not sure what else.

When you add on to the ticket, think about adding more days, too. (Maximum of ten including the days already used up).

After adding non-expiration for the original ticket length,
Adding the 6'th day costs $14.
The 7'th day costs $14.
The 8'th day costs $51. (don't stop here)
The 9'th day costs $4.
the 10'th day costs $4.
