Park Tickets

I have read that in order to get FastPasses you need to SWIPE your park ticket. Would it be practical to "wear your ticket" around your neck on the neck lanyards? I have purchased the lanyards but then didnt know exactly what the tickets look like or how to get them "attached" We have a large group and lots of kids. Just thought they could keep up better with them attached somehow to there little bodies!

We use lanyards - easier to carry your park ticket, an i.d. and fast passes! Fast pass tickets are about an inch wide and 2-2.5 of inches long. If you are staying on property and getting length of stay park passes, your room key is also your park key (known as Key to the World- KTTW-card) and it's the size of a credit card. You want to purchase plastic pocket holders to attach to your lanyard to allow you to carry your tickets!

My first thought when you mentioned there was lots of kids was DON'T let them wear their park tickets! The time spent at guest services trying to get a new ticket when one is lost just won't be worth it. Depends on their ages too though.

Really, I found that once we were past the turnstiles we didn't pull them out more then two or three times for fast passes. If you are on the dining plan or charging things back to your room all the charging priviliges can be put on your card. For fast passes you hand one or two people in your party all the fast passes and let them go get them so you aren't all standing in line.

Just writing this message makes me want to go to Disney right NOW!!!!! I'm homesick.....

The ticket has to be removed from the lanyard and inserted completely into the machine (at least as of mid 2005). So punching a hole in the ticket (not through the magnetic stripe) may or may not be convenient.
