Park Tickets?

I'm planning on renting points so my family and I can stay at OKW. My question is about park tickets. I know that staying on property gives you the advantages of the extra magic hour, etc., but if I purchase my tickets without going through DWD, do I just have to present the room key to take advantage of the benefit? Or would I be able to turn the tickets in to a CM when checking in and have the days added to my room key so I don't have to carry around both tickets and key?

I can either take advantage of a AAA discount or my father can purchase to get an AARP discount, but I'm worried about carrying more than just the room key?

Anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks.

If your tickets are not on your room ID, each person in your party will need the room ID to take advantage of EMH. Don't know if they can be added.

Yes - you can add your MYW tickets to your room key at check in. It doesn't matter where you bought them or how much you paid for them.

In the past, you had to buy the tickets at check in to get them coded onto your room ID. But that policy changed when the new (Magic Your Way) ticketing system came on line in January, 2005.

Best wishes -

Thanks for the information. I was a little worried that Id have to keep track of my than just my room key. Glad to hear that Disney will let us take advantage of whatever discounts we can acquire, while still letting us hae some of the advantages of the retail side of things.

This question is along the same lines about the tickets encoded on your room key...

We are staying 9 days at WDW in SSR... and buying a 10 day Plus pass... We will only be using 8 days and like 4 pluses while we are at SSR... however, we will be staying off site for 3 more days where we would like to use the rest of the 2 days and 2 pluses... Can they encode our 10 day 6 plus passes to our room key and then give us back the remaining unused pluses and days after we check out?

If you have your pass encoded onto your room key, it becomes the pass. After yo check out, you would just keep using your room key as your pass until the days and plus options were all used up.

Best wishes -
