hi there, what are your views on buying park tickets, should i buy now in u k or wait untill i get to orlando.

Unless you can get discounted tickets in advance I would prefer to kep the money in my bank account (or off my credit card!) for as long as possible. Buying tickets when you are at the parks is very easy, so no hassle if you leave it until you get there.

I tend to buy mine beforehand and keep a look out for special offers via these boards and the theme park sites.

I agree with Rob in that it is easy to get your tickets out there, but I like the idea that I have the tickets already in my pocket so can save some time when I arrive at the park for the first time, plus it means that I don't have to worry about the money for the tickets coming at the same time as all the other holiday spending money.

I've already bought Annual Passes for WDW and US for my two trips this year, but in the past bought WDW tickets in advance through Keith Prowse and US tickets through their website. I also got a good price for tickets to Sea World last year through their website.

However, it is worth bearing in mind that if you are an AA member you can get an AAA card free through them and use that at the gates to get a discount for US and IOA and also Seaworld.

I have bought all my tickets in advance.

I bought a four park hopper pass for Disney (this was $21 dollars cheaper than on the gate) I bought 3 tickets (bought from Disney direct)

I bought Universal two park tickets for five consequetive days this was on special direct - $10 dollars cheaper each ticket for a limited period, than on the gate. (bought from Universal direct)

I also bought my discovery cove tickets direct - this was £25 approx cheaper than buying in the UK. (bought direct from DC)

In fact I bought everything on the internet in advance.

I would recommend it - Ok you pay in advance, but you then don't have to cue with everyone else to get your tickets and it worked out cheaper for me.

i bought my tickets from UnderCoverTourist, also checked out TicketMania. I chose UnderCoverTourist because my sister who lives in the U.K. recommended them. I received my tickets in 6 days from time of order

Companies that seem to get good write ups here include:

Ticket Mania

We ended up using both of these and had excellent service from them and I like to think saved a reasonable amount of money. The 5 day Hopper Plus tickets from Paramount included a character breakfast (fantastic fun and good food) at the time for the same price that most others were selling the 5 day Hopper Plus tickets.

There is a "3rd Way" which may be to buy your tickets from one of these companies on arrival or perhaps to order them in advance for payment when you get there - but I don't know if any of these people would do that.

Incidentally someone pointed out to me (after I had bought them elsewhere and paid more) the cheapest Sea World tickets at the time were available on-line where you get a discount - currently 10%, though at the time I seem to remember it was more than that, possibly as much as 20% - for buying ahead. This also seems to apply to Busch Gardens tickets as well.

Seaworld do an amazing deal online - if you print out your own ticket then you save 10% and for an extra $5 you can get a ticket good for the entire year - it's called a Fun Card
