Park Tickets Biometric?

i'm not quite that old but have stiffness in my hands..if they are the same scanners that they used for aps you have to kind of squeeze your fingers together around the little wedge thing and not that easy with stiff joints. mine kept having to get put through a few times till it recognized it. if they are measuring distance that might be why( knew it wasn't a finger print but thought they measured the bone or something) even so it literally was barely a pause in our step

We have tickets stacked up from god knows when. We could probably stay for a month and go into the parks everyday and not pay a dime for entrance fees. That being said we use them every now and then. We have tickets that have happy 25th on them from 98. Have never been "talked" to about transerability and the such. It was just a "woah, i havent seen these in awhile." ZIP ZIP "have a magical day!"

I wouldnt sweat the small stuff.

If you give those tickets to someone else to use for a day they will be the only one that can use it the next time you visit the parks.

I never signed my ticket. I personally don't think most of the cms care about this rule. I used the ticket 4 days, multiple visits to the parks, and never once was my ticket even looked at.

Signing the ticket is mainly for families who have multiple tickets. That way when they get to the turnstile, the same person uses the tickets on each and every entry, instead of mixing them up and having to "guess" who's ticket is who's. It just doubles as extra protection, as the CM can also say "Sign this paper" to compare signatures if nessisary.

We always signed ours and tried to put our resort on them as well. If they are signed, you may be able to get them back if lost. If they are not signed, there is no chance or very little chance of getting them back if lost. Even if signed or lost there is no security issues I can think of that would out weigh the cost of replacing the tickets...smjj

Yes, I heard that even the older passes are getting tagged with biometrics - if there is a barcode of any type on the ticket, it can get biometrics attached to it!

Just to clarify.....Children's tickets age 9 and under do not have to do the biometrics. Though because parents and older siblings do I have seen many children attempt to do this....

So, kids under 9 don't have to but sometimes they do...kids over 10 always must do it now.

They are getting much more insistant that you sign your tickets. They will look at the back of your ticket at T and T. If it is not signed they will not let you in to board monorail or boat to MK. Of course as with most things Disney, some CM's are more insistant than others. On Sunday, some people were getting thru, but yesterday no one got thru who hadn't signed their pass when I went thru. Funny though, all I showed was the cover for my AP, she never even saw the pass its self. Who knows?

Don't they NOW make you scan your fingers and tie YOU to THAT ticket? I know we used leftover 2004 tickets in 2005 and at WDW they made us scan our fingers (this was in May '05).
