Park Ticket Question

Sorry, not sure where to post this..... If I buy a 10 day ticket before the free dining when staying off site I understand that to get the free dining package I then need to buy a 1 day ticket. Is the one day ticket really good indefinately if not used? Can the cost of the one day ticket be applied to the 10 day ticket to make it a park hopper??? If using the one day ticket in the future and "upgrading" it, you'd have to pay park rates and couldn't get discounted tickets. Correct??

the one day ticket is good forever, until you decide to use it. You can use it later to upgrade it to something else, but since you plan to buy the 10 day ticket before you get the 1 day ticket, it can't be used to help lower the cost of this 10 day ticket. You won't get the one day ticket until you check in at the disney resort. And yes, since to use the one day ticket to upgrade to something else later you must do it through disney, you will have to pay their prices.

You can not get the free dining unless you are staying onsite.

Yep, I know. I plan on getting there before the 24th and staying off site at a condo before the free dining.
