Park ticket question - how many days?

I'm getting ready to book our tickets and hotel today, so forgive my silly questions!

If we're checking in on 10/29 and checking out on 11/2, we really only need 4-day tickets, right? I doubt that we'll be going to a park on check out day. One of those days will be MNSSHP, so we could potentially get away with 3 day tickets, but I don't know if I should risk it.

Depends on when you get there on the 29th - I tend to not go the first day I arrive so you'd only need 3 days, for someone like me. But, otherwise, I believe your math to be correct, yes.

We'll be visiting family in FL for a few days prior to checking in, so maybe late morning on the 29th? I'm thinking we will still go to a park that day.

If you have enough discipline, then book the smaller number of park days for your tickets now.

You need the discipline because, if you will want to go to the parks "tomorrow" after starting to use the last day on your ticket "today" then you need to add another day to your ticket by "tonight."

We would buy 5 day tickets because we do go to the parks on arrival day and departure day, but I usually book a morning arrival and an evening departure. The extra days are so much more inexpensive that I don't worry if we end up not using it or only going to the park for a very short time. Remember that you can purchase your tickets for the lower number of days and add the days on while you are there if you decide that you need the extra days in the park.
