Park Ticket needed for EMH?

I have searched over and over and cannot find the answer. Please Help!
We will be at POP during Easter break. Currently trying to decide on number of days to purchase park passes. My question is: Are you required to have a park ticket to enter the evening extra magic hour park or do you simply show your resort ID to get in?

You will have to use your ticket.

You need a park ticket, and they will give you a wrist band for late hours when you enter the park (or at places inside the park) when you present your room key. For early hour, you need your room key and a ticket.

Thanks for the quick responses. It seemed too good to be true that Disney would let you into the parks for free just for being a resort guest.

Caution: If your park ticket does not have hopping, you may not attend extra magic hour if you spent that day in a different park.

With most MYW tickets (some resort package tickets and convention tickets are excluded) you can add hopping the moment you want hopping.
