Hi all,
I have a ticket question. We've been going to Disney for 23 years but never ran into this issue before. My granddaughter will be turning 3 five days into our 12 day vacation. I contacted member services about the requirement for purchasing a ticket and this was the response I received:
Please note that when vacationing at the WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort in
Florida the child's age on the reservation should reflect their age upon
arrival. Therefore, although Callie will turn three during the
reservation from May xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
the age she is at check-in is the age that applies for the entire
trip. So, in your case she is seen as being two for the entire trip and
would not require a theme park ticket for admission or be able to have a
Disney Dining Plan should you choose to add one as she is still
considered an infant.
We hope this information has been helpful.
Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
Thank you and have a magical day,

Does anyone know this to be true? My granddaughter is very tall for her age and we were questioned many times on our last trip in September on her age and she was even asked to stand up out of her stroller a few times. I don't want to go through the hassle everyday of explaining the above response and we will be celebrating her birthday there and of course if they ask her she is going to say she is three. I don't want to think we don't need a ticket only to be forced to purchase one on the spot. I know I could avoid it by purchasing a ticket as well, but tickets are only up to 10 days so we'd basically have to buy an annual pass. I don't want to put out all that money if we don't have to, I also don't want to go through
every time we enter a park either.
Thanks for your help
