Hi All,

We are planning a impromptu trip for late June into July. We will be there for a total of 20 days. We are hoping to have some downtime to do nothing but hang out by the pool and relax.

I need help on the tix situation, we are looking to purchase 10 days tickets, but would like to also head to the waterparks a couple of days. We don't really know what days, we will be doing what. What is your best solution for this?

Thanks,
V

10 day tickets are valid during a 14 day window unless you purchase the no expiration option.

Our last trip was 14 days and we did 2 park days followed by a water park or DTD day for a total of 10 park days and 4 "off" days (didn't use all our water park and more options but we were OK with that)

If you are in the area for 20 days and want to do Disney the entire time, you will need either non-expiring tickets (which would extend your window allowing you to do 10 park days and 10 days of "other" admissions as long as it's only 1 per day. If you did a water park and mini golf on the same day, that would be 2 admissions) or an annual pass (premium pass if you want water parks included). Otherwise, you can do Disney for 14 days and use other days outside that window for Universal, Sea World or other attractions of your choice

Thanks for the guidance: kschafer! So, if we wanted to do 10 days of parks not including waterparks, but also wanted to do a couple of days of waterparks, the best option is an annual pass?

Thanks again,
V

Water parks and more option would get you the entries that you want. You have to decide whether the 14 day restriction is a deal breaker for your family.

Here is how the entitlements work for the MYW ticket with WPF&M (and hopping). For 20 days you are really probably best off purchasing Premium Annual Passes. Note that it will make you eligible for several discounts and special deals. And if you are staying off-site it will include free parking at the Pazrks.

This post includes the assumption you have a ten day MYW ticket with both the Park Hopper and Water Park Fun and More (WPF&M) options.

(Note, if you have a ticket of fewer than ten days, insert the number of days you have any time you see the number "ten" in this post.)

Hopefully this will make it a little clearer. In effect you have two tickets with different privileges on one card. Everything expires 14 days after first use unless you have the no-expire (NE) option. If you have the NE option all the entitlements are good until they are used up. Even if you use up all your major park days, the WPF&M entries remain valid until used. (Note you do not have to use the days consecutively.)

You have ten days of access to the four major parks (AK, DHS, EC, MK), and may visit more than one major park on a single day without any extra charges. Without the Park Hopper option you can only go to one major park per day.

You have ten entries to the minor parks (BB, DQ, OT, TL, WWS, FG, WSL). These may or may not be used on the same days as you go to the major parks. However, if you went to TL in the morning, Oak Trail* in the afternoon, and Disney Quest in the evening of one day you would have used three of the ten entries. (Note that leaving and returning to the same minor park on the same day does not use an extra entry.)

If you go to minor parks only on one day and do not go to a major park you do not use up one of your major park days.

If you were to go to a Water Park in the morning and then one of the major parks for the remainder of the day you would have used one minor park entry and one day of major park entry.

Note that with the MYW ticket unless you have the hopper option you can only go to one major park per day. Unless you have the WPF&M option you cannot go to a minor park without upgrading or purchasing a separate ticket.

*Oak Trail is a nine-hole "Executive" walking (no carts) golf course. Each person must have their own set of clubs and they can be rented for $15 per person if they don't bring their own.

Note if you have only a Base (non-hopper) ticket the cost to add WPF&M to any ticket is $60.71 (including tax) per ticket. If you already have hopping on your ticket, the cost to add WPF&M to the ticket is $23.23.
