We are going Jan 23-28 in January. I had originally planned my days as follows:
23 - Arrival/DHS
24 - MK (Frontierland/Adventureland/Liberty Square)
25 - AK
26 - MK (Fantasyland/Tomorrowland)
27 - EP
28 - Departure/DS
DHS was not originally in my plan until I figured out how to make it work. However, I AM very interested in Jedi Training Academy for my boys, but figure it won't be possible getting to DHS at 11/noon. Would it be wise to swap our first MK day and DHS day? DHS is recommended as fine for both days from what I've seen and closes at 7. MK is moderately recommended on my arrival day and recommended first on the Tuesday. It also closes at 6 PM. (No clue why so early on this day, but must be a private event) We would likely be in the park by 11 AM with FastPasses for Big Thunder, Splash and Jungle Cruise with additional selections being eyed as Pirates and Haunted Mansion. Essentially, I don't have to worry about any PPO ADRs for either day as I had planned lunch in the park for DHS and quick service for MK. If I swap them, I will be able to get to DHS in time to sign up for Jedi Training Academy (I have a Star Wars obsessed kid) since I will be starting DHS fresh in the morning. However, it will only give me approximately 7 hours in MK to do Frontierland and Adventureland and Liberty Square. Is that enough time? Here is what we want to hit:
Big Thunder
Splash Mountain
Meet Aladdin and Jasmine
Magic Carpets
Tiki Room
Jungle Cruise
Pirate's Adventure (Can be as long or short as we want, just want to make sure we do one mission)
Pirate Tutorial
Pirates of the Carribbean
Meet Woody and Jessie
Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire
Haunted Mansion
(We will watch Festival of Fantasy from Casey's Corner during lunch)
I do like the aspect of arriving to Magic Kingdom, which was my original plan before I snuck in an extra day. We could potentially meet Aladdin and Jasmine in Epcot and could drop the Magic Carpets and Tiki Room in necessary.
We MUST do (if open of course) Big Thunder, Splash Mountain, Jungle Cruise, all Pirates stuff, Friendship Faire and Haunted Mansion. Would love to meet Jessie and Woody, but we CAN meet Woody at DHS if necessary since we'll be gaining 2 hours there not previously planned for.
