There seems to be so many threads on hotels, so I thought I'll start one thread and if we can post our deals, then it will all be together.

For starters, I have not booked as yet, but last September we stayed at the Best Western as we used an Airmiles Gift Card. It was not too bad, worked up to $150 USD. We had free breakfast, free high speed internet. The only downside was that we were the last to be picked up from the airport.

Still deciding if we should go back there or some place else.

Let's hear where you will be at and what you will be paying.

If you want Buffalo - we are staying at La Quinta and it's costing us $135US for 1 night stay and 10 nights parking. Haven't stayed there before so no idea how it will be - I figure it's just 1 night and they have breakfast and shuttles so we'll see.

There is a sticky thread at the top of this page (although it's getting pretty long by now) with a lot of very good info for Buffalo and Detroit. Unless I missed it in your post, you don't mention where you're flying from. The most recent posts will be at the end of the other thread where people will post their experiences.

I just booked the Marriott Fairfield at DTW for one night later this month. US$100 gives us 2 queens and a pullout, free internet and breakfast, and 8 days parking at the Qwik Park lot right next door. We've stayed at the Fairfield a couple of times and never had a bad experience.
