Park Reservations Advice

We will visiting the parks for 4 days at the end of June. It's important to note that we have Park hopper tickets. I am curious if it is worth making a reservation for Epcot. I am considering making two reservations for Hollywood Studios specifically for Rise of the Resistance. On the second day of Hollywood Studios we would park hop and go to epcot right at 2pm. Considering epcot Park hours are 11am-11pm most days we would only miss 3 hours in the morning. Would you recommend this or is it best to just make a reservation for Epcot?

My wife is really looking forward to epcot and I would be in the dog house if we weren't able to park hop. The reason why I had this idea is because even though we were able to get a boarding group for Rise of the Resistance during our last visit, the ride broke down and we never got to ride it. It's the one thing I absolutely have to ride when we visit.

Thoughts? Opinions?

If riding Rise of the Resistance is important to you I would keep your plan to have 2 DHS reservations.

To date there has not been a single day since Park Hopping (PH) was reintroduced that PH has not been allowed to all 4 parks. This includes the past 2 weeks when all 4 parks have been full for Park Reservations.

I would keep 2 days at DHS and hop to Epcot 1 or both of those days when you've completed what you wish at DHS and the 2:00 PH window has opened.

Couple of thoughts.

First, if you have not already done so, I would go in right now and book DHS for all 4 days of your trip - but just as a placeholder while you sort things out. The first 3 weeks of June are already nearly sold out for DHS (at least during the week). If you don't get your reservations made soon, you may not have much of a choice.

As for your actual question, I would definitely book two mornings at DHS and plan on hopping to Epcot after 2:00. If you get lucky and get on ROTR your first day, you may be able to change your reservation for the second day to Epcot if you want. However, there is no way you could do the reverse (switching from Epcot to DHS) unless you got really, really lucky on a last minute cancellation. Granted, hopping to Epcot will mean longer lines for Soarin, Test Track, Frozen, etc., but you should still be able to get all of them in if you really want to.

Given what I presume will be late hours at Epcot in June, you could probably hop there two or three days of your trip. For example, if you rope drop Animal Kingdom, there is no reason you could not hit Epcot by 3 or 4 in the afternoon and have several hours on that day as well.

Right now I have all of reservations made with 2 DHS days! Thanks for the advice!
