Park report, crowds and parking structure exit tip

Sounds like a good day! And safe travels home and have a wonderful Christmas and New Years with your family. Stay warm!!!

We went on Saturday. Early, the crowds were great. But around 11 AM, the crowds got very bad (and we were on both sides and it was bad in both parks).

Saturday was crazy. I think the light rain kept people away early on. We got so much done at DCA early on, and I was SHOCKED at the mass crowds coming in when I left to take my daughter to urgent care at 10!!!!

Merry Christmas!

For the parking structure. If you are exiting at night time, it's a tad easier to go out of the Pixar pals side. Yes the light can hold you up, but if you go through M&F you'll be stuck in traffic behind everyone leaving out of that side.

@WonkaKid My daughter and I were there on Sunday as well. We were people number 13 and 14 in line at Peter Pan that morning. I was going to look for you, but I thought you said you weren't going to be coming!

We took the rope on the right side of the hub. Cast member there tried to discourage me from heading to PP, but I reassured him I had contingencies in my pocket, but had never failed the Pan-Dash before.

From a tactical standpoint, do you think it is better to take the center rope and go around the partner statue, or to go in from one side or another? I usually go from the center, but we decided to try the side and it "felt" cleaner. I think we would have been ahead of the center crowd if my teenage daughter hadn't gotten shoved off to the side as we took off and had to call for me to wait up.

Anyway, It was crowded, but we rocked the day. There was a little hiccup with my plan due to the teacups being out of commission - those people all went to ride Alice...and then Alice went down just as we got to the front of the line.

Only rode Buzz once Saturday and once Sunday because my daughter isn't really in to it. I scored under 500K both times, so it was a little sad.

QUESTON! I noticed that when I pointed my gun at the wall, I could see the little red dot flashing even when I wasn't pulling the trigger. I always thought that the dot appeared when you pulled the trigger before, so I am wondering if it has always been this way (the dot is persistently blinking but you only get points if you pull the trigger at the right moment) or if it used to be that the dot only appeared when the trigger was pulled. The first time I thought maybe my gun was broken. The second time made me start wondering if I've always perceived it wrong...

Anyway, it was a great day in the parks. We'll be back with the whole family for the week between Christmas and New Years, when the crowds are really crazy!

So sorry I missed you! Awhile back I thought I'd change my park schedule to Saturdays. Fortunately, cooler heads prevailed and I decided to keep my classic schedule :-).

Good call. You were wise not to listen to the CM in this case :-).

I believe that the right side is always best. That's where I always am and, as you know, I'm often first on PP.

That's still a really good score. It probably puts you in the top 10% of all scores.

QUESTION! I noticed that when I pointed my gun at the wall, I could see the little red dot flashing even when I wasn't pulling the trigger. The dot is always there. Or at least it's always flashing (on the Shanghai BL it's much brighter and contantly on) It's kind of like a targeting aid. I believe it's independent of how or when the gun fires. But to get credit for a target, you have to pull the trigger and hit it, obviously. Hope this helps! I'll be back at the park in early January.

Just wanted to drop by to say "hi". I was the one you met in line to get in on Sunday. We ended being maybe 15 people back from you on Peter Pan. And saw your name as the high scorer on Buzz during the day.

Thanks for saying hi! 15th is actually pretty good. Especially since there are nearly always runners. I look forward to being back at the park in early January.

I always exit through M&F even if it’s at night. The backup at the light can get really really bad. It’s a lot worse than getting on the bridge.

I'm just barely catching up from last weekends trip. Just now read this thread. Love all your pictures and updates. Wishing you a fabulous time in Chicago. Merry Christmas ! Hope to see you in 2020 !
