Park Plan for split stay AoA and OKW

We're planning a trip late fall 2023. We're thinking of doing a split stay between AoA and OKW. We want the action and skyliner for a bit but think we'll get overwhelmed after 3-4 days, and want to be somewhere quieter (and more spacious). We're a family of 5. I know we'll want 2 days in Hollywood, likely 1-2 in Magic, and I'm really wanting to spend time at AK. We'll visit Epcot but it's our lowest priority. We're thinking 7 day passes without hoppers (to keep things from getting too busy). Any ideas on what parks you'd do in what order? I'm thinking something like this:

Day 1 / check in AoA: Magic & fireworks (knowing we won't get on a lot of rides but I think our youngest will need time to just look around & see shows)
Day 2: Hollywood
Day 3: Magic
Day 4: Hollywood
Day 5: transfer resorts & Epcot
Day 6: Animal
Day 7: open

Resorts and amount of days are not set in stone yet. We will have a car, and are not against using ride share, but needing a car seat may hinder how effective ride share is.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I would do Hollywood and Epcot on your AoA days and AK and MK on you OKW days. I also recommend taking a day off in the middle of the trip once you have gotten to OKW. We love split stays and do them often.

Thanks! I definitely agree with Hollywood and Epcot while we have the skyliner. Do you think transportation to Magic will be better from one resort over the other?

I don't think it would be enough to matter. I have not stayed at either - but I know that OKW is big and likely has a few internal bus stops. I would suggest 1) arrival and HW, 2) MK, 3) EP, 4) HW, 5) transfer and MK, 6) off 7) AK. If you want more time at HW - then switch 1 and 2. Ideally, you would have a rest day earlier, but I think the advantage of a rest day at OKW is worth waiting a bit (and maximizing HW and EP on the skyliner)

Thank you! Yes, definitely a rest day at OKW. I think this is getting closer than I was!

I agree with the other posters - huge fan of split stays to maximize transportation convenience, so definitely Hollywood and Epcot when you have the Skyliner to use (my kids and I LOVE Skyliner - one of our favorite rides!).

I also agree with having some downtime; I believe you can ride the boats to Disney Springs (or walk?) from OKW, so maybe plan that for your down day/while at OKW? And the only other factor I believe would be any "magic" hours specific to Deluxe resorts/OKW - if they're still doing that. I would use those hours to optimize time at Magic Kingdom, since there's so much to see/do there. Have a wonderful time!

I had not even thought about extra Magic hours! I'll definitely watch for those. Thank you!

In the fall, you are going to have Halloween parties with the magic kingdom closing early so that needed to be considered in dates. The deluxe extra hours if you want to use them are normally Monday at Epcot, Wednesday at MK.

Wednesday might work :) if they are still offering the extra hours by then. I'll keep eye out for party dates and early closings. Thanks!
