Group of 6 ranging from 8 years old to 65. GotG will not be ridden by everyone, but what's a good plan of attack to tackle all of these, utilizing fast passes obviously?

I will take a shot:

1. Assuming it is not an EMH day, arrive before Rope Drop - if it was me, at least 30 minutes before RD
2. Send the GOTG crew to GOTG standby and ride it - send the others to get FPs for the group for RSR - the non-GOTG group will need the entrance tickets of the GOTG group to get FPs for them
3. Non-GOTG group does something else while GOTG rides - maybe goes to TSMM and rides it? GOTG group meets up at TSMM and all ride together
4. Send FP runner to get FPs for Soarin
5. Use RSR FPs
6. Use Soarin FPs

Just an idea to get you thinking...

What I usually do is on EMH, go grab fast passes for RSR, and then go ride it first thing. A couple times I've been able to ride it twice within a short amount of time, or even once and then single rider it the second time for very little wait. But as HydroGUy mentioned above, the GOTG group should go ride that first thing on an EMH morning, then use the RSR fast passes with the group later. For Soarin, what I usually do is keep an eye on wait times on the 2 apps I use, and when its around 30 minutes I just standby, since we park hop and sometimes go get FPs for something at DL. But you could grap FPs for SOarin and standby TSMM when its not that long.

What worked for us on one of the non-EMH days this last week was the following:
DCA opened at 9 AM. We didn't hurry but were inside the gates before rope drop.
Got RSR fastpass first.
Rode Toy Story.
Rode whatever else caught our fancy that had a short wait until our RSR fastpass time opened up.
Got Guardians fastpass as soon as the window opened on RSR fastpass (around 50 minutes after we pulled it).
Rode RSR.
Then we did various things including heading over to Disneyland, riding Big Thunder, eating lunch at Red Rose Tavern, etc.
Picked up Soarin' fastpass whenever it was we headed back to DCA. Soarin' fastpass could have been pulled starting 2 hours after we pulled the Guardians one. I didn't list times in my trip notes.
Watched Cars movie preview and Frozen stage show.
Ice creams or frozen drinks.
Rode Soarin'.
Dinner, browed shops, hung out.
Got in line for Guardians fastpass return at 7:45 when our window opened. Waited about 45 minutes that night.

Touring more aggressively than we did would net more headliners.

I haven't done a DCA EMH since Guardians opened (and for a number of years before that actually). I would think you should either head to Guardains or RSR first. They were issuing fastpasses during early entry recently, so that too might be an option if that practice continues.

The best theory I have been reading was to totally avoid GotG for the first hour or so of non-EMH mornings, until the FP line goes down.

I've been told to:
1. Head to TSMM, grab a FP
2. Ride TSMM Standby
3. Ride CS (add other area attractions as needed until TSMM FP time is available)
4. Use FP for TSMM
5. Head to GotG, grab a FP

The theory is that FPs for RSR will be available later in the day so avoid it altogether until 2 hours after you grab your GotG FP.

I haven't tried this yet. We will put it to the test on Tuesday morning. :-)

I should add that we have one of our group that won't ride GotG (or CS). We will be leveraging rider swap as needed.

They have FPs for TSMM now? Wow, didn't even realize it. Was just there last week, we went to ride CS and it was temporarily closed and we never went back to that area. I did see the FP distribution for Matterhorn though. Cool, good to know for next time.

I wish GotG had a single rider line because I think only 1 or 2 in our group will ride that.

If you want to ride it multiple times and you have little ones consider getting a Rider Swap pass to ride again. The other thing is if only 2 of you are riding you can use just 2 tickets to pull FP for GOG and use your other tickets to pull FP for something else.

My plan for next Tuesday (non-EMH) is the following.

Arrive more than 30 before ropedrop.

Grab RSR FP
Ride Soarin' and other stuff.
Grab GOTG FP when window opens.
Ride RSR with FP.
Grab another RSR FP when window opens up for nighttime ride.
Ride other stuff and enjoy the park! Grab FP for other rides as able.
