My DH & I are staying the the Park Place Inn soon, and was wondering about the continental breakfast they offer. I heard it was at Captain Kidd's restaurant, which I've read some really bad reviews on that place. Is it safe for the continental breakfast, or should my DH try someplace else?:confused3

We tried it one morning and never went back. I would suggest going somewhere else.

One more tip about this hotel -- ask for an upper floor. It gets a bit noisy on the ground floor.

Have a great time!

We did the free breakfast, it was the same as most other free breakfasts on Harbor that we have had. So, nothing spectacular but nothing horrible. The food is not from the restaurant so they aren't ruining it, try it, if you like it go back, if not go elsewhere. FTR, I won't eat anything else at Captn Kidds, only that free breakfast!

Despite what others have said, the free breakfast next door is fine. I have had the freebie at Desert Inn and BWPPI and it's all about the same stuff. Cereals, bagles, hard boiled eggs, danish, milk and juices. It's not the same junk they serve downstairs. Actually I would say it's better than Desert Inn.

no worries

While not real exciting, we have always found the breakfast to be fine to get your day started. My kids have never once complained about being able to have pastries and/or donuts for breakfast.

We stayed there for 6 nights last summer and ate the breakfast almost every morning. My advice is grab an extra fruit to enjoy later and ask for fresh eggs if they still have HB ones that is.

The free breakfast is fine and we ate it every morning we were there last October. There were 4 different cold cereals, bagels, toasts, pastries, whole apples and bananas, hard boiled eggs, juice, coffee, tea and milk. Plenty to get us going and carry us through til lunch.
