I have noticed recently that some rides are not listed on the park maps, such as the Carousel of Progress. The same applies to One Man's Dream and the Mad Tea Party, but those were fixed on later maps. This is just something we noticed while comparing maps from trips that were a few months apart this past year. Why is this? Does anyone know?

Yeah, I wondered the same thing! The Wonders of Life Pavillion at Epcot wasn't listed on our park maps.

Not sure about One Man's Dream or teacups, but the others are only open seasonally now.

I know that Wonders of Life has been closed for a very long time. I wonder what they are doing with the space because the building is in the background on the maps.

I'm not sure about "open seasonally." Carousel of Progress was open when we just went but was not listed on the park map.

There was a lot of discussion on several threads a month or two ago about whether "Wonders of Life" and its attractions, "Cranium Command", "Making of Me" and "Body Wars" were gone forever or just "resting" until needed ("Closed Seasonally").

Back then, the official WDW website had the most CONFUSING listing that said:
* Cranium Command: Open Seasonally [April 1- April 31, 2006]
* The Making of Me: Open Seasonally [April 1- April 31, 2006]

That led many (most) readers to believe that it meant that these attractions would be OPEN from (in this case) [April 1- April 31, 2006].

The contrary was true.
It actually meant that these attractions would "remain CLOSED" (in this case) [April 1- April 31, 2006].

But it was confusing BIG-TIME (and caused a lot of discussion between the posters as to its meaning).

Since then the Disney folks have "fixed" this confusing listing.

I copied the following (month-by-month) from the WDW Calendar Epcot site:

So, it looks like these attractions will not EVER re-open (considering that they are not open at all during the Summer... not even around or on July 4th, one of THE busiest times at WDW).

Sad to say that, as I really loved these attractions, but at least the listings are no longer ambiguous.
I just wonder WHY they bother to specifically list them AT ALL??

As to Body Wars, the rumor is that it is no longer even "in the building" as the ride system was supposedly shipped to another non-US Disney park for use as a "Star Tours" attraction at that park.

Very interesting, and sorta sad...I loved Body Wars!!! :guilty:
