So, the text that appeared in my feed reader copy of the Blog Mickey article is different than what is currently attached. The first release had MK until 11 all month. They revised it and it's back to only the 1-10th... Sorry to get everyone's hopes up!

Here is what it originally said:

Three of the four Walt Disney World theme parks have extended their operating hours as the calendar turns to summer. Also of significance is the return of fireworks at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT – something that is reflected in the new hours. Here’s a look at the changes:

Magic Kingdom

• June 27-30: Park hours extended 8am to 9pm (previously 9am to 9pm)
• July 1-31: Park hours extended 9am to 11pm (previously 9am to 9pm)

EPCOT

• July 18-31: Park hours extended 11am to 10pm (previously 11am to 9pm

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

• July 4-31: Park hours extended 8am to 7pm (previously 8am to 6pm)

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

• No changes

As far as fireworks are concerned, Happily Ever After will be shown at 9:15pm and EPCOT Forever will be shown at 10pm.

Is the 11am opening normal or is that because there are still restricted hours? I’m headed end of September and trying to understand what hours may be at that time to help me choose which park each day. It seems that maybe Epcot is typically opens and closes later? Does anyone remember the “old normal” hours?

The old "normal" hours for Epcot were 9-9. Future World opened at 9 as did Frozen Ever After. The world showcase, with the exception of Frozen Ever After opened at 11. So right now they aren't opening as early but are staying open later.

The 11 AM opening has been in place since July 2020. Not sure when it will go back to an earlier opening time but so far it has not been announced and park hours are on the Disney website through Sept 11th.

At this rate, can we expect to know park hours for October within the next month?

I would anticipate at the current rate that hours for the first few days of October should come out on/around Jul 16th.

Disney really should extend Hollywood Studios hours for July. Closing at 7:00PM seems weird when it's pretty much the hottest park right now with Toy Story Land and Galaxy Edge.

The July hours were extended until 8pm a couple of weeks back, which is a bit better.

Friends and I were making a one-day trip to see HEA one last time (possibly) on this date. I think 7 may still be too light for fireworks? Joke's on us if there's a park buyout and not a glitch or extension!

there will almost certainly not be HEA at this time, it will still be totally light out

Trying to convince them to fly down Friday instead to be safe. Here's hoping it works out!

They just posted the times through sept.. and AK still closes at 6pm.. how is the tree gonna light up for the 50th is they close at 6pm.. I really hope all parks close around 9pm or later.

Well, the sun sets in Orlando at 5:30 p.m. on December 1st. So we have that going for us, I guess.
