Park Hours?

I was looking at the park hours on the Disney website for the days we will be there (5/2 until 5/9) and I was disappointed to see that there is no Spectromagic Parade listed and that none of the parks are open later than 9pm. I think MK was like 7pm!

I used to live in Tampa and we used to have an annual pass to DW and I could've sworn that the parks were always open later than that. Is this something new? I really wanted the kids to see Spectromagic -- any thoughts on why it is not going to be there?

Good thing we are doing the 5 day hopper because we will need those days to see everything if we have to be outta there by 7-9pm!

I am no expert, but I think since 9/11 it really has effected attendance and they have shortened the hurs for several months.

I've been going in the Spring (late April/early May) for 10 years in a row and this is the first time I've ever seen the parks (water) closed during this time frame. The hours, however, are not unusual for this time, especially since some weekends are grad nites. This is the first time I've ever seen no fireworks or spectro included during this time frame for this length of time. I am there for 2 weeks from May 3-17 and only one night of fireworks (a Saturday--taboo, I don't do MK on Saturdays) and no nights of spectro--in 14 nights. Yes I was there in October after 9/11 and though there were some early closings, never did I see the water parks closed or no fireworks. I was also there 6 times last year, during many slow and busy times and am really baffeled by these changes. These boards alone have indicated that May will be very busy, plus add the locals and the school trips, I wonder if they know what they're doing. No matter what the hours, I'm sure I'll enjoy myself and as always will be planning my next trip.
