Why are the parks closing earlier this Summer , last few years parks have been open till 10 pm but its 9pm this year

confusing to me too cause I seem to remeber parks closing at 10 pm last year too .
Glad I went last year and was able to see the parks at night

Think your right Metro cause I got a call from guest services today and they told me park hours for this year are based on last years attendance

also, it was mentioned that the parks could have extended hours on any day that has larger crowds.


it was said that much easy to extend park hours then to cut them back once the calendar schedule for park times has been released.

Thats what I meant to say phamton was right but I can be a little dingy at times
The lady I talked to kinda hinted at that too if crowd levels got heavy they could extend hour but guess someone was watching or listening to her cause she quickly ended with we can't wait til you vacation with us in june and hope you have a great time

The park hour have always been dependent on anticipated crowds. If they are expecting fewer people this July than last year they'll probably close earlier than last year.

Just a guess but: I suspect they expect fewer people and if that projection changes they can always add another hour to the schedule. It's much easier to change the posted hours from 9:00 PM and change it to 10:00 PM rather than the other way around. If they posted a 10:00 closing and later changed it to 9:00 PM, it could cause lots of complaints. I bet there is a good chance that the hours may increase as the summer gets closer.
