The park hours for the 1st week of December are now listed on DLR's website. :) It doesn't show any early (6 p.m) closures on the first Monday and Tuesday, the 1st and 2nd, so it looks like the CM parties will be on the 8th and 9th. We were hoping for the 1st and 2nd, because we will be there the 2nd week, but we will work around it. At least we have some info. now to do some planning. :)

Thanks for posting. We're going down that week so now we know what the hours are going to be.

You're welcome! I did notice from previous posts that you were going during the same time that we are. :) Where are you staying? We'll be at Hojo's. Let's hope for great weather because my DS REALLY wants to try out the new Pirate's Cove! He doesn't get cold very easily, so it might work out even for December. :)

With any luck we'll steal your good weather for the week before so DD can enjoy Pirate Cove!! :lmao: (JK!)

Thank you so much for posting!!!

I think some of our dates may overlap, from what I remember. We'll be there from the 3rd-11th, so great weather for BOTH weeks is an absolute must! Maybe we'll see you at Pirate's Cove! :)

We're staying at the Menage. I'm excited for the Candlelight Processional.

You're from WA, I'm sure you will find the weather to be fine. It was nearly warmer on our early Dec trip than our mid Sept trip last year. Nice and sunny, with some breeze, and a day or two when there was some rain. Sounds exactly like most western WA summer days!

Thank you for posting this information. We are going to be there 12/3-6... It has been awhile since we've been down to DL during the Holiday Season...We will be staying at the GCH and look forward to the decorations at the hotel and seeing "snow" on Main Street...:santa:...jc

How true.....What is "cold" to a lot of others, isn't cold to us here in the Northwest. :) But I am surprised it was that warm in December. We were there in September of the previous year (almost 2 years ago) and it was around 85-87 degrees every day. From what I read, it says the average temp. in Dec. is in the mid to upper 60's. I hope we get a warm Dec. again like you did. That would be great! I know DS will be at Pirate's Cove anyway, but the warmer the better. :)

Another northwest family there 12/10-12/12 at GCH. Can't wait to see the park dressed in it's Christmas finery!

We've been this time of year before and compared to the weather at home, it is a piece of cake!

Hi from WA! We've visited the parks in December on two occasions. Both times I'd start off in a fleece pullover and a tutleneck in the morning. By noon I'd removed the fleece and was quite comfortable. Our kids swim in the pools at that time too. It's a bit chilly, but they'e been swimming in the cold rain!

We'll be at the GC from the 20th-24th. The weeks before the holiday are a great time for a visit!

Another northwest group going December 2-7. We are from Portland and friends from Seattle and Victoria BC are joining us. Can't wait, we were there early December last year and loved it.

oh my lord ...here it is in Aug. and you guys gave me the cold chills just thinking about swimming in dec....*shudders* :rotfl: last year and the year before I was there in Dec. and it was nice for a few hours in the day meaning I didnt have to wear my coat but sun goes down quick at that time of year and then out came the gloves and hat and big coat :lmao: I do live in CA but I live in central cali and it gets really cold there in the winter...this past winter I think the low was 21º...now I know your laughing because of that but remember 21º in california is not what one typically thinks about while dreaming about california sunshine;)

Washingtonian here too, Longview to be exact!! We are going 12/10-12/14 and will be either staying at PP or BWPPI. I have reservations for both and hopping they lift the blackout AP7 rates for the weekend!!

Thanks for posting! We'll be there with our 4 kids from Dec 1-5 staying at BWPPI. I've been wondering when we would find out when the cm parties would be.

LOL. I grew up in San Jose (where it does NOT get to be 21 degrees...it snowed ONCE in my 17 years there and that had melted by noon (just time enough for me to get pelted in the eye with a tanbark-centered snowball)), and the extremely chilly winters of 50 took me over a year to get over, when I moved to Tacoma for college just before I turned 18. :)

(and then 50 was shorts and sweatshirt weather!!!)

First picture of our December trip was in the morning, of my son while walking from Anabelle, along PPH, on our way to the parks, and he's in shorts, short sleeved shirt, and sunglasses b/c it was so bright and sunny that morning!

Looks like the CM parties are the 8th & 9th...Monday's hours for Disneyland are 8-6.
Thanks for posting these were out.

I've known (and mentioned here) that the CM parties will be 12/8 & 9, we'll be there the 8th~11th, I added a 4th day because of the CM parties. We'll be at HoJo's! We'll hang out in CA Mon. & Tues. evenings.

We'll be there Sunday Nov 30 thru Thursday Dec 4. Do they do the fireworks that week? Or just on weekends? We're staying at PP Sunday night and then Menage.
