Park Hours In October & General Info

Hiya

Does anyone know or remember what the park opening times were in October. Disney has not released times as of yet and my husband and I were wondering if anyone remembered.

We are leaving on the 18th October. What are the crowds like in October is it similar to May time?

We are just about to start getting some clothes etc..... to put away what should we get? Do we kit out for the sun or do we need to buiy more trousers? Can we go to the water parks? Will be open?

Sorry to ask so much, we have never been at this time of year before? We are so excited we just want to start organising it. I just can wait to go and book the halloween tickets.

Hello Michelle, We are going in Oct as well, last time we went was in Oct 03. I think the parks are open early and stay open late on certain days as normal. It was in the 80's last time and we were wearing tshirts & shorts all day, and in the evening it was still warm. You might just want to take cardigan for the evenings or for the air conditioning (now that can be cold at times) or buy some out there! The waterparks are usually open, but towards the end of Oct beginning of Nov, one might be shut for refurbishment, but you can check their timetables before you go, we managed to visit both and were not disappointed!

If you want to go to the halloween party at mk the tickets go on sale on sunday you need to phone 001 407 934 7639 i think the tickets are $ 31 plus tax an adult $ 21 a child but dont hold me to that . October cant come quick enough in are house how about you ?

I think we are on the same plane flying with Virgin at 12:30 from Gatwick. I think we mentioned times before and found that we were on the same plane. We are sitting on isle 36. Sorry if I am wrong

I am just hoping it goes so quick. Thanks for your help we were worried about what to take and what to wear

Went in Oct 2003. The first couple of days were very humid. We had short & t-shirt weather throughout the week, but needed a cardigan in the evening purely because of the restaurant's a/c! We were there for Columbus day & that was busy & the first day of the food & wine at Epcot (VVVVV busy), but otherwise the parks were easily doable. We left just before half term started, so I guess the crowds picked up then. We still made PS to ensure that we got what we wanted, when we wanted it. Did MNSSHP & entered the park about 5pm, completing everything in tomorrowland before the party kicked off. Came home with lots of sweets, good pic of Cindy's coach & a few characters you don't often see for meet & greet - money well spent

We have been twice in October. The first time in 1997 the crowds were not that bad - although it was our first trip and didn't really have anything to compare to and we had not discovered the DIS then, so were a bit green and un-prepared

The second trip in October 2001 was 4 weeks after 9/11 and the parks were empty. I don't think we stood in line longer than 5 minutes the whole trip

Weather wise, on the whole the weather was great, nice hot sunny days, a few clowdy days and a few rainy days.

Michelle, we went in October last year and the weather was lovely, the crowd levels were ok too!! The food and wine festival will be on at Epcot - we got to see Kool and the Gang in concert last trip! Have you considered MNSSHP?
