Does anyone have any idea when the park hours & the EMH hours for the end of April will be released?

I get to start making my PS on the 23, and I need my park hours to start that!

I'm looking for these too! I'm having to go ahead and make PS arrangements without them :(

I guess in some cases we'll be starting our meal as the last bit of magic is happening when the parks close. Wish they could release these a litle sooner than they have been.

I'll let you know if I find them in the next few days...

Yeah I know. I wish they would release them earlier.

I mean it is hard to know where & when you are going to be if you dont know park hours!

I read in another thread that the park hours are posted for the current month, and for the follwing two months. If that is correct, then the April hours should be posted in a couple of weeks.

I'm waiting also for April park hours and EMH dates so I can plan my PS's, including a character breakfast and FDP. We are only going to be at WDW for 4 days and one night will be a grad night so MK is out that night. Hopefully by the end of this month!

I just know there has got to be a reason but why do they take PS 90 days in advance but only release park hours 60 days in advance. It throws compulsive planners like myself into a tail spin!!!! I agree, it would be A LOT easier if we could book a PS based on hours we KNEW the parks would be open. By the way, I wonder if it works in reverse?? What if you call for a PS and they say the park won't be open yet, or they say the park would be closed then. The computer will only let them book certain times, maybe that is one way to know if a park is open later that day or closing early based on the available PS times??? But of course, not all restaurants are open the same hours as the parks!! Urrggg, another theory blown. Does anyone have any tips?? I tried using the DisBoards "projected" times for May based on last year, but we'll be there one week after the " Happiest Celebration on Earth" begins, I wonder what that whole thing will do to the park hours???? Part of me guesses that the parks may have extended hours to accomodate more folks coming for the "party" then I also think maybe not, because almost no kids are out of school yet.

Help.

Maybe that's a stupid question but... What is/are "PS"? Reservations in restaurants? But why reserve a table 3 months before? And why it's depending on the EMH? I think the EMH has been released for the whole year 2005...

Maybe I'm wrong...

Suivi: The EMHs are being "experimented" with--since they started on 1/5, there hasn't been a week that they're been all the same.

PS are priority seatings in restuarants. I like to plan them in advance because I like some of the most popular restaurants in WDW: LeCellier, Crytal Palace; Ohana, California Grill. Even on our last trip, around MLK weekend, we were closed out from several of our choices bacause they were no longer accepting PSs

Same thing!

We like to make our PS (Priority Seating) for the resturants as soon as we can!

We like to know we are going to get our character meals & meals in the really popular resturants. We have been locked out of places like Cinderella's Royal Table, Alfredo's, etc before.

Also we have our son who is going to be 21 months when we go. He is going to get hungry at dinner time (6-7pm), which is the most popular time to eat, and the hardest to find a table. It is even hard to find a place to sit at the counter service places at that time! :earseek:

well, they have been changing them a bit, also, park hours may change, so lets say MK is closes at 7, but has a 3 our EMH, that means you can be there till 10, but what if MK closes at 9pm, then has 3 hour emh, then you can stay till midnight. so that would be different even if the basic schedule of what parks have it on what day could still have different hours

I am eagerly waiting for the April hours too. We started making PSs on the 19th, and plan on adjusting them based on park hours/EMH days if necessary. We normally wait till park hours are out and then make PSs around them, but I'd really like to have my choice of times at popular restaurants this trip so we're starting the planning earlier.

Maybe using the historical hours would help. I can't remember where I got them from, but I used the hours from last year as a base to go by when we started making our PSs on the 15th. If I find where I got them from I'll come back and post that. Hope I helped even a little. Glad to know we're all in this together. :grouphug:

I also just looked on the park hours link. When I put in my dates out popped the "projected" hours. I did use projected hours when I planned my trip last year and I found that when the real hours came out they did all match up.
I am going to use these projected hours to plan my PSs.

momshark,

But do you think the impact of the "Happiest Celebration of Earth" which begins on May 5th will change the hours from last year? I would feel more comfortable using those hours if all of the new stuff wasn't happening but now I'm beginning to wonder....but you're right, that's the best info, actually, the ONLY info we have to go off of right now so it makes sense to use it. Even the new Early Magic Hours don't have consistant days yet for each park, that too is an ever changing situation. In mid-february I will make my PSes according to the very best and latest info we may have at that time and hope for the best!

Thanks for the info though.

I tried to use last year's hours too, but the wek we're going this year was Easter week last year, so I know the parks won't have the same hours when we're there. It shows MK open till midnight, which I know was only due to Easter crowds, not typical April hours.

Hmmm. I hadn't really thought about the May celebration affecting April hours, but anything is possible, especially if Disney is going to run some practices on special events. I can see that if Easter falls in the week someone is going then the hours will probably be different.

Anyway, I did make 7 PSs today without a problem. I figure that the only seatings that might be affected would be if I were trying to sit at say R&C before Illuminations. All of our PSs are at regular hours like lunch or early dinner.

Sending some pixie dust that you get the hours soon and all your PS wishes come true. :wizard:

Momshark,

Nooooooo, I meant the May hours I was looking for will probably be affected! You should be fine using the projected April hours, I was being selfish and talking about MY trip in May! Congrats on getting all of the PS's you wanted!

Sorry for the confusion.

My biggest problem is the EMH schedule. I really want to use that to plan our park days, but without knowing what it will be I'm having a hard time. We have all our PSs through 4/23 so far so I guess I'll just have to call back and adjust when the hours and EMH schedule comes out.
