I need to vent a little, when April park hours were originally posted (we're going 4/25-5/2) the MK was going to be open from 9:00 AM -10:00 PM on 4/27 with Spectromagic and fireworks. Now it will only be open to 7:00 PM and NO Spectromagic OR fireworks for our whole stay!!!!!!!! We've (family, 20 people going and 16 first time disney visitors) been planning this for over a year and spending a BOATLOAD of $$$$$, and we're not going to be able to see fireworks etc. at MK. I can't begin to tell you all how terrible and wrong this is. You would think at the VERY LEAST Disney would show fireworks once a week for people to experience. Is there anyone that I could complain to and if so, could someone give me the phone #? Thanks!!!!!

Hey Trepka1440. My family is going the same time you are. I feel your frustration. However, I think EPCOT is still doing Illuminations. It's fireworks and lasers at the same time. I know its not Magic Kingdom fireworks, but its pretty cool.

I hear ya!!!! This HOT topic has been discussed alot these last 2 weeks since they changed the hours!!!
We are going April 23 - 30, so I feel your pain!!:(

One issue is that the week end is Grad Nights. But I was still hoping to see fireworks and parade on Sunday!

But to answer your question.....just call the 407 wdisney # and ask for guest relations. Or if you are a DC member call the 800 #. That is what I did.

I also emailed them at wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com
The emailed me back and said that someone would be contacting me. I've done this before and they have called. I was able to voice my concerns and at least I felt better that they seemed sincere and listened.

Hope this helps!!!:)
And you will have a great trip no matter what!!
I know I plan to.:) :) :)

i don't mind the shortened park hours that much, but i think the fireworks at MK are one of the best things about the MK. i think that if they're cutting back, at least have fireworks once a week, say every sunday during off peak.

Thats just what I mean. The fireworks and spectromagic at the Magic Kingdom are a very important attraction of that park for me.
If that evening shows are not running, it feels the same as having a nice meal without a dessert. Of course it is still a nice day at MK, but at least 1/3 part is missing.

Marcel.

ABSOLUTELY !!! AGREE!!!:)
And exactly one of the reasons we choose to go the latter part of Easter week instead of waiting til we knew the crowds were lighter.
But if it is any consolation......they probably would not have had the fireworks anyway because of Grad Nights.
We went 2 years ago....same time as you....and we were not aware of the Grad Nights. I thought I did my homework, but that one got by me!
Anyway, the whole 10 days we were there there were NO fireworks or night-time parades.:( :(
My DD and myself were very upset when we got there are saw the schedule.
But we were also told that the first 2 weeks of May are traditionally the 2 weeks during the year that the night-time parade goes on "hiatus". So this part may not be entirely the fault of the recent "cut-backs".

we are heading down may 20-26. can we expect to have no fireworks too??? that would be kind of sad... :(

My guess would be that since that is Memorial Day weekend, they'd at least have fireworks on Saturday night. We'll be there then too, and I hate to fight that MK crowd on a holiday Saturday night, but if that's the only time they have them...I guess we'll have to. :(
