Hi everyone,

I'm going to Universal for the first time 8/22-8/25. What are the chances that the park hours will change so the parks are open later? Also, is there a chance that IoA may offer the early admission? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Late August does not have the large crowds as summer does

last time I went early September,
Shorter park hours m-th

This year hhn begins first week of September so that may have a factor in changing the crowd levels

Not sure if ee will happen
It’s a wait and see for right now

Yeah, from the first time we did Universal on our last two weeks of August yearly trips we had come from Disney that had late hours, to find Universal closing at 7 or 8 pm. I was like what? But the silver lining was it was one of the least crowded times. So we found mini golf, night time swimming, movies and go cart fun and some shopping to fill our nights.

We are coming next week, as my kids have now been adults, and younger is in college, so we have changed our vacation times since my older one started college.

So I don’t think the hours will change much, though a bit more crowded in the afternoon week days, as local kids and local families came. Weekends were still a bit longer hours, as they seemed to be the most crowded days. And with Passholder days starting on the 16th, early entry for all three parks to AP holders. So maybe mornings will be a little more crowded.
