I've decided to try park hopper this year and need your fine input on the best way to get from place to place - using the Magic Kingdom free transportation.

A few issues:

How have you figured wait times? Minimum, average?

Monorail (at least MK/resort loop) runs more frequently than buses and carries more people.

Where you are going @DTD makes a difference. Is the short walk from SRS open? I thought it was closed due to DTD construction.

I don't think there is a bus from Epcot to DHS.

I'm assuming that you've used the OLP transportation Wizard. I would strongly advise you not to use it. It will occasionally give you very bad advice - things like telling you to use transportation that doesn't exist.

Starting from Magic Kingdom to Epcot
Take the monorail. You'll need to transfer at the TTC.

Starting from Disney Hollywood Studios to Magic Kingdom (MK)
There is a direct bus.

Starting from Epcot to Magic Kingdom
Take the monorail.

Starting from Disney Hollywood Studios to Downtown Disney
Take the bus to Pop Century and another bus to DTD.

Starting from Epcot to Hollywood Studios
Walk or take the boat from the international gateway or take the bus from the main entrance.

There is slways park to park transportation. And yes, there is a bus to DHS from the front of Epcot.
MK to DHS.....direct bus, same area as the resort buses use. Reverse it from MK to DHS.
MK to Epcot.....monorail to TTC, transfer to the Epcot monorail. If headed to WS, take the bus to YC/BC, then walk to the International Gateway.
MK to AK....direct bus, same scenario as DHS.
To DTD, from MK.....walk to the CR and take their bus to DTD. Or, bus to SSR, and boat, bus, or walk to DTD.

The time it will take you is going to vary. The time of day, time of year will make a difference. You might get to the bus stop just as the bus you want is pulling away. Now you could have a 20 min wait. Many, many variables.

There is, but it usually takes longer than the boat or walking. It kind of depends on where you are in epcot when you want to leave.

There is a walkway between SSR and DTD. But.....it is accessed from behind the main building, and runs thru the side of the golf course. It drops you by Cirque.

If that is the case take the bus to the PO resorts (chances are it will be a shared bus so get off a the 1st stop and take the boat or bus to DTD). The boat runs every 20 minutes . Not sure about the bus timing from POFQ/POR as we only took it if the boat wasn't running . We like the boat ride and the bus didn't seem to get us there quicker .

Yes i used a wizard. I doubt it counted waiting in a bus line for the transport times. So between parks it is best to take a direct bus, except for between Magic Kingdom/Epcot (monorail) and Epcot/Hollywood (options). I think TTC at Epcot is close to gate, but isn't there a lake between the TTC and Magic Kingdom? Would a bus be better from Epcot to MK? I think I've seen the boat at the international gateway. Is it a right instead of going left across the bridge to France if you are coming from England? Thank you kindly. : o )

Thank you for these suggestions. I work a lot for the government and I was stuck on acronyms all day. What resorts are WS and CR? To save some face, I got yacht club, beach club, and Saratoga.

I think you're thinking that TTC is a term for monoral station. The TTC is one specific place, located just across Bay Lake from MK.

There is a monorail station just outside of the MK gates where you board the monorail to the TTC. From there you'll transfer to the epcot monorail.

There are also ferry boats from MK to the TTC if you want to mix it up a little bit.

There isn't a bus from MK to Epcot, unless the monorail is down for some reason.

It would be faster to just take the bus to SSR and then the bus to DTD. Get off at Grandstand, and catch the next bus to DTD. Or, head to the main bldg, at Springs, walk through the bldg, out towards the canal..go to the right and there will be a path, that crosses a bridge. This pathway will take you to DTD, in about 15 mins. The only drawback is that you come out at Cirque/DisneyQuest. It's a hike to the Marketplace. But, you can take a boat over.

Depending which way you walk, on the way to the bridge you may pass the boat dock. If there's a boat at the dock or coming in, ask the skipper whether it's going to DTD. If it is, it will take you to the same place that the walkway ends; you'll still need to walk or take another boat to get to the Marketplace.
