Park Hopping Question

I was told by a AAA travel agent that I should get the park hopper option because I wouldn't be able to enter the same park twice in a day. Ex., Going to MK in the morning, leaving in the afternoon for a swim at the resort, then going back to MK that evening. She said this would take two days worth of admissions. This sounds a little silly to me. Can someone set me straight?

NO that person was wrong... if you don't have a hopper you can leave and re-enter the same park, just not a different park... i.e. If you have a hopper, you can go to MK, leave and spend time at your resort and then go back into another park (MGM, Epcot or AK). If you DON'T have a hopper, you can only go into ONE park for that day-- but you can leave and come back. Does this help?

The travel agent is wrong. It's only hopping if you go to a different park.

Returning to the same park on the same day will not consume a second park day off of the ticket.

You are not allowed to consume a second park day off of a non-hopping ticket to do a park hop with.

For tickets with water park fun, returning to the same water park on the same day will not consume another plus visit off of the ticket.

For tickets with water park fun, you may visit a second plus venue on a given day with either a non-hopping ticket or hopping ticket and it will consume a second plus visit.
