Something to be aware of - if you use a voucher in the morning for FPs and have another voucher to use in the afternoon, you may not be allowed to use a voucher in the second park for the same tickets used in the morning. This happened to us yesterday. We have more vouchers than we have days here, so we used one at the MK this morning for all of us in our group to get FPs, then hopped to the AK this afternoon. The girl at the ticket window told me that it was in the rules that it could not be done (getting FPs for a second park in a day even though we had a second voucher). We talked (very politely, by the way) for some time, and she volunteered to call a manager, even though she knew the manager wouldn't be able to do anything different for us as they system was not set up to allow that.

When the manager came, however, she overrode the system and we got the FPs for AK. However, it took a lot of talking and time. If I had known that there would be a chance we wouldn't get them, I never would have used the voucher at the MK this morning, as we had already been there once this trip.

So, there's your fair warning! It can be done, but I feel we were very lucky that we got that second set.

Very interesting, because this is what we plan on doing when we go. Does anyone else have any experience with this? Would Cheshire be able to weigh in? :confused3

I wonder how they know you used another voucher, being they are all in different names? I am not park hopping this trip, so it doesn't matter much, but I am just curious.

I was trying to piece this together myself.....

I was thinking about using 2 vouchers at the same park on the same day. I figured it would be a great way to handle Star Wars Weekend easily. Hmmm...

I'm pretty sure someone reported being able to use two at the same park and getting them at the same time, so I don't know why getting them at different parks is a problem...

OP here - The vouchers were all in different names. They way we knew that we had already used one is that when they would give us the GAD FP exchange cards, they would swipe each one of our park tickets in order to be able to activate the right number of exchange cards. The only exception to that was when we went to Epcot - for some reason, the CM just counted our tickets but didn't swipe them. The rest of the time, each ticket was swiped prior to the exchange cards being activated.

Therefore, when we went to the second park one day (MK in the morning, AK in the afternoon), the CM determined that we had all already received exchange cards that morning when she started swiping our cards. She told me in no uncertain terms that it was not possible to get a second set in the same day, and offered me the hat with the pins. (Cute, but definitely not an acceptable substitute for our group.) But when the supervisor got there, she apparently had the authority and ability to override whatever the hangup was.

Just bumping this in hopes of catching anyone else who may have redeemed (or tried to and failed to redeem) their GAD FP at two different parks in one day :goodvibes This will be imperative for our trip, because we are doing AK in the morning and DHS in the afternoon of the same day, and we really want to use them (with a 2nd voucher) on TSM ;)

I witnessed a group of 3 redeeming all 3 of their GAD vouchers for FP cards at DHS at the same time. Great way to handle a busy day!!

Good to hear. I'm wondering if the OP happened to get a CM that didn't know that it could be done :confused3

OP again - the first CM that day seemed so sure of herself that it couldn't be done. The manager also confirmed that it was not supposed to happen but was willing to override it. They had to take an extra step on each ticket to override it, rather than just 1 override that allowed them to swipe everything through. So, it would appear to me that the system is not intended to be used that way (2 vouchers in a day per ticket) but that it is definitely possible to do.

Having said that, I went back and glanced at the GAD rules on Disney's site and didn't find anything that would have given me notice of that rule (although I wasn't looking too hard).

All that is to say, if you run into trouble on this, just make sure to ask for a supervisor and be super nice, as I think they have a lot of discretion on when and how to bend the rules.

Shamelessly bumping again, looking for anyone else's experience with this as it will greatly affect our plans since DHS will be the 2nd park on our hopping day and we really want to do TSM without a huge wait ;) If all else fails, we will just need to try it and hope for the best!

I am looking at doing a lot of park hopping on our upcoming trip in June. We'll have 3 vouchers to use over 5 days. I'll be interested to know also if someone reports back...

We just returned this weekend from WDW where we used our GAD vouchers for fastpasses.

On our last day we drove over to Epcot to get our FPs to use later in the day and then proceeded to AK for the morning. When we turned in our final voucher at the AK Will Call window, the CM began the swiping process and I guess some sort of flag appeared on the screen. She asked us if we had redeemed any vouchers that week to which I responded that, yes, we had redeemed one every day that week. She called over a manager and he overroad whatever the flag was and she processed our FPs for AK. The manager had to put in his override code a second time before she was done and then she handed over the passes with the GAD button and the ride list.

Honestly, we didn't think any more of it until we returned to Epcot and realized that the problem at AK was probably due to us trying to redeem 2 vouchers for 2 parks in one day. The CM didn't seem concerned about it so we didn't have to address it.

So, that was our experience. No problems, really, just some minor confusion that resulted in our getting our passes in about 2-3 minutes longer than usual.

This is what we intend to do - go to DHS first thing before the park opens and get our FP cards for there, then go to AK for the morning (turning in another voucher for our FP there), then go back to DHS in the afternoon. I'm sure we won't really have a problem other than them needing to override it. Thanks!:goodvibes
