park hopping from Epcot to MGM

Think I'm right about this, but want to make sure:

Can you take a ferry from Epcot to MGM? If so, how long a trip is it? And does it run both ways (can I take it back to Epcot)?

I know these sound like silly questions, but I'm trying to get all my (Donald) ducks in a row before our trip!

Anyone who has done this or is aware of it, please let me know.

Yes there is a ferry that goes between, but it stops at the Swan, beach club, and Boardwalk before it goes to Epcot. It does the reverse when going from Epcot to MGM.

When it makes these stops, how much time are we talking about? 10 minutes total, 20 minutes total? Any idea?

I would count on at least 20 minutes from the time they pick you up till the time they drop you off. Don't forget to figure in waiting time for the boat, which can be 15-20 min. If you have good feet & stamina, the walk from MGM to the International Gateway at Epcot is about a mile. You can actually beat the boat if you walk at a good clip because of the 3 extra stops between the parks.
The Friendships are a nice relaxing way to go though & they give your feet a few minutes to recoup!

Yes! To back Eljay's words....I once outstripped the MGM-Epcot Ferry by a good margin...one look at some of those ferry/bus lines at the end of a park day and your feet find renewed strength and determination.

Wish they had more pedestrian paths linking the resorts and parks.
