park hopping feasible??

We went to IOA/Universal in 2004 and I can't remember the distance between the two parks. Is it very easy to park hop from one to the other....All I seem to remember are those slow moving sidewalks from the parking lot.

Also where does Mears drop you off and pick you up at IOA? at Universal? If you already have a preset time for them to pick you up at the parks and then want to change the time of pickup, can you call them to modify your return time or no?

It's literally a 5 minute walk between the parks, VERY easy to park hop

Mears drops and picks up at the same spot for both parks. You walk through City Scape, and Universal is one way and IOA is the other. When we went from IOA to Universal, they took us through a back parking lot.

We did pretty much all of the major attractions in both parks last week in one really long day and moved between the two parks twice (IOA, Universal, IOA again for Harry Potter).

Mears offered to preset our pickup time, but they also said we could just call an hour and a half before we were ready to go. We opted for calling since we didn't know when we would want to leave. They seem pretty flexible.

The last time I went was the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend. Got there around 2pm, started at the Studios, did all the major rides there, then went over to IOA around 5:30, did all the majors there, including WWOHP. Was done well before the park closed (which was 10 that day, I believe) I've hopped every single time I've gone to Universal.

The only things standing between the entrance to IOA and the entrance to USF are the NBA City Restaurant, Hard Rock Cafe, and Blue Man Group theater. It's only a 5-7 min walk. There is also a side entrance by BMG/Hard Rock Cafe/Rip Ride Rockit that can be utilized.
