Hi, everyone. Just set up a trip to the world for the end of April. It has been nearly six years since we have been. I think I'm doing well setting up my FP+ choices, but I'm not sure what to do for days we want to hop.

From what I have read on here so far I think I can select 3 FP's for morning park now, use them, then when I arrive at evening park I can try to select additional FP's. I need to go to a kiosk in the evening park, I can't make my selections on the app.

Here is where I don't know how it all works. Is there a way to choose one FP for the morning park and choose one FP for the evening park in advance, right now? I think the answer is 'no', but I want to be sure. I am trying to do it on the computer and it is making me cancel my morning FP when I go to choose one at the evening park.

If I choose one FP for my evening park right now would I be able to select a FP for the morning park when I am actually there?

I hope this makes sense, lol.

No is your answer, you can only make the 3 in one park at a time, either your morning or afternoon park. MY strategy, depending on the time of year, would be to FP the evening park and hit the morning park at rope drop and do the headliners. Depending on which park is the evening the FPs could run out trying to use a kiosk.

Unless it changed in last two weeks, your preselected FP+ choices must be at one, and only one, park. Your strategy choices are, roughly speaking: do morning FP+ choices, and try to get more when you are at other park later. Or, make FP+ for the evening park, and hit the morning park early (with no chance of FP).

We found VERY little availability for 4th FP anywhere other than MK on multiple trips. We no longer value the 4th FP in planning. If we get one or two, great. But I understand YMMV based on others' experience.

No. All 3 of your initial fastpasses must be in the same park.

Your instincts were right. You can't split your original 3 among parks.

If you're going to hit your morning park early in the day, it might be wise to set up your 3 at the afternoon/evening park, since it will be more crowded later in the day.

I did this earlier this week: Went to AK in the morning (not rope drop, but there around 8:30 or so): Safari had 5-10 minute wait, then Dinosaur was posted 20 but was walk-on and walked in a Festival of the Lion King just before showtime. Could have done a single rider Everest between Dinosaur and FoLK with very little wait, but wasn't in a coaster mood. Left AK around 1:00 and used my pre-scheduled FP's at Magic Kingdom in the late afternoon and evening.

We do multiple parks in one day, just hitting the highlights. In March, I got fast passes for Epcot which included soarin and two other minor rides for the afternoon. We hit animal kingdom at 8 am when it opened for resort guests. Did Safari, Everest, dinosaur, bird show, walked the "zoo" area...amazing weather, best safari ever with a lion in a tree, a giraffe literally Inches from the road and babies everywhere. Even driver said it was his best ride ever. The zoo walk...name I can never remember...included three baby gorillas hanging on moms legs. Incredible morning.left AK at 11 am, got over to Epcot in time for 12 30 Soarin and did our other two rides. Tried to do test track in the single rider line, but it was down all afternoon. Went back to resort for the pool for a couple of hours. Headed over to magic kingdom for extra magic hours. As soon as our last Epcot Fastpass time had passed, I tried for fast passes on the app..but the only thing available was space mountain...very late. We got there, had dinner and the hit Most of the rides before and after the parade. The longest line was 30 minutes. Right before closing, Peter pan was down to 10 minutes.

Thanks, everyone! I just went ahead and set up Fast Passes for an evening at Epcot and we will just do AK in the morning without Fast Passes.

Sounds like a good plan. As another poster mentioned, the chances of getting a fourth FP (and beyond) is pretty slim except for MK, where they have many more rides and attractions (at least most of the year). If you're going at a truly slow time of year, you might have better luck with those additional FPs. But OP, you said you're going at the end of April, which easywdw.com's crowd calendars show to be medium-size crowds (averaging 5 out of 10). So I think your plan sounds great! Have fun!

I think your main question was answered - only 3 in one park.

However, just to give you how we handle it because we park hop every day - we do 3 in the morning and then hope we can get more at park 2. Mainly because we usually know which park we are going to in the morning but like "winging" it on where we go in the afternoon.

This is exactly my strategy. The morning park is the highlight of our day, and the evening hop is a bonus, more to eat and explore the things we don't get to see when we're focused on going from ride to ride. The days we do MK we will hop to Epcot at night, and the days we do Epcot, we'll hop to MK at night. We won't hop on our DHS or AK days, and use those evenings to relax at our resort.
