Park hoppers?

You can always add park hoppers to your tickets WHILE YOU ARE THERE. There is no need to purchase ahead of time. Either way, you will pay the same Park Hopper fee for the number of days you have tickets for. By waiting until you are there, you can decide if you need them or not.

That's what we're doing. Example: Since we already have the water park option, it's only $165 for us to add hoppers. I'm not doing that now. I'm going to wait and see if we feel like hopping one of the days during our stay. If we do, we'll pay the $165 at the ticket counter. From that point on in our stay we can use the hoppers as much as we want. There is a significant chance that we won't want or need to hop, so if that's the case we'll have saved the $165 by not pre-buying.

Park hoppers are great... if several of the following apply to you:

When AK is closing early, and you'd like to extend your day at a different park.
When you consider some parks "half day" experiences because you are only interested in a handful of attractions there.
When it's Epcot Food & Wine Festival, and you want to go back there a few times to sample more of the offerings.
When you want to enjoy EMH, but not the higher crowds that fill those parks the rest of the day.
When you know you're going to want to experience certain favorite attractions multiple times over a few days, but not the whole park.

I personally love hoppers, but they fit my particular touring style. They are not a good value for every touring style.

I, like many of the others, usually go to one park in the AM and then take a break and hit a different park in the afternoon/evening. I suggested on our upcoming trip in November that we don't get park hoppers right away and wait until we see if we need them but DH disagreed. He would rather have the option to hop without stopping at the park to add the hoppers. I got a great deal on ParkSavers (buy 4 days get 3 free) so went ahead and got the park hoppers.
