Anyone know which AAA office is offering the best deal for Disneyland Park Hoppers. I read over on the budget board that different locations offer different prices and will mail them to you. My local office will refer me to a TA.

When I was planning our trip this past April, my AAA office didn't know anything about Disneyland. They usually deal with WDW. We live in Massachusetts and most people don't go to CA. The travel agent there called Disney Travel. I had looked up the prices on their site. I even called the AAA office in Anaheim and I was told that you just show your card at the gate for the discount. They didn't have passes. I ended up booking a package with my local AAA agent for our room at the Disneyland Hotel and we purchased Southern California City Passes. I don't usually do packages for WDW, but when I called for a AAA rate at the hotels and added that together with the price for the passes, I could actually save a little money and there were other little perks included such as the unlimited fast passes, coupons for priority seating to about 4 different shows and a coupon booklet for things both in Disney and in the area. We also each got a pin and lanyard, and a coupon for a free photo, which we had taken with Mickey in Disneyland. It was well worth it. If you buy your tickets online versus at the gate, you can save money as well. My sister ended up buying her tickets at the gate and it cost her the same for a 2 day hopper as it would have if she had gotten the 3 day online. My memory is a little fuzzy about exact dollar amounts, but you can find out easily enough.

I hope this helps.

I had the same problem this past Spring, trying to get info from my local (Indianapolis area) AAA. Each phone call got me a different answer, none of which was helpful. In the end, the quoted me a price higher than I knew was right and they wanted 15+ days advance notice to get the tickets in, meaning they didn't normally keep them in stock. I ended up finding a national AAA travel number on a different Disney fan board and that worked! It's 888-937-5523. I got a 3 day Park Hopper with 2 free days, so 5 days total, with free parking at the Mickey and Friends structure (parking currently $9/day), a coupon book with discounts for dining at the DL hotels, a couple of sit down restaurants in DL/DCA, DTD, free popcorn at the AMC theater, etc, etc for $129 adult/$99 child. $10 got me FedEx delivery (required postage/handling fee...FedEx service) and I had my tickets in less than 5 days. Give it a try!

Exactly, the confusion was horrible. I believe that same 5 day pass is also available on the site. What I forgot to mention was what the pass I got included. It includes 3 days at Disney, 1 day at Knotts Berry Farm, 1 day at Sea World and 1 day at either the San Diego Zoo or the Wild Animal Park. I also had free parking as well. The only thing with my "Package" was that it had to include a stay at a Disney resort. That is where the unlimited fast passes comes in. It was really nice to be able to walk up to any fast pass machine at any time and get a pass without waiting the time limit like you have to wait on the regular passes. If you are planning to do these other places, this pass was great. If you aren't, you would definitely be better off buying the 5 day pass where you pay for 3 days and get the other 2 free. Which, by the way, you would have to prebuy whether you call that AAA office or you order online. If you plan to go with a AAA office, I would take the advice and call that number because, just like smcbaker said, noone seems to carry them. Good Luck!

Sounds like those on the East Coast are getting "the treatment". Here in CA, we can walk into any AAA office and buy DL tix right there. Here's some info. Dunno if this is that much of a deal but...

• 5-Day Park Hopper® Ticket -
$129 per adult, $99 per child (ages 3-9)

• 2-Day Park Hopper® Ticket -
$98 per adult, $78 per child (ages 3-9)

• Also enjoy free parking at the Mickey and Friends parking structure, an exclusive for AAA Members!

Tickets available at AAA offices in Northern California, Nevada or Utah. Discounted tickets are not available at the park.

They also readily sell them up here in Washington.

Like I mentioned before, I ended up booking the package with AAA instead. It was actually a little cheaper for me than to book the hotel with the AAA discount, and then purchase the tickets online. And there were some other perks as well. I usually don't like buying packages because I can ALWAYS do much better buying everything seperately when we go to WDW. But out here on the east coast, noone seems to know anything about Disneyland, they had to make phone calls out there as well. It was a mess. I guess I will just stick to WDW now. It is a lot easier and doesn't take anywhere near as long to get there.
