I'm on the fence about getting the park hopper option. My adult son and I are going the first week of May and I was going to go ahead and order tickets from undercovertourist. I really think we would only do one park a day under normal circumstances; however, since May hours aren't out yet, I don't know what the schedules will be for Fantasmic and Spectromagic. I was thinking that if they're only happening a couple of times while we are there, we might need to hop??? :confused3 Do you think it would be better for me to wait until the May hours are out and see what's going on before I order tickets or should I go ahead and order and add the hopper after I get there if I need to?

We are staying offsite in a townhouse - don't think my son (or me) would enjoy sharing one room and bathroom!:scared: So we will have a car. Also, if we did hop, would it be better to take Disney transportation to the other park and then back again to our car or better to just hop in our own vehicle?

We always park-hop... every single day.

But YOU may not NEED to.
How do you know?
What should you do?

Simple:
You don't need to buy the "Hopper Option" UNLESS and UNTIL you need it.

If you are already at one park and decide that you'd like to "hop" to another... right then,
just walk up to a ticket window and pay the approx. $47 per tix (its the same price whenever you choose to do it) and you're ready to hop (that day, and any others, for the rest of your trip.) You must make this and all other upgrade choices within the first 14 day of when the ticket was first used.

If you go and NEVER need to hop, don't buy the upgrade, and you can then spend all those "extra" bucks on more WDW souvenirs! :thumbsup2

One advantage of HOPPER is FLEXIBILITY-

If you have a car, use it to hop.

There are exceptions to this, like when it involves MK combined with Epcot in certain ways, but, generally, take the car.
You only need to pay to park once, then it costs nothing to park in the next lot, by showing your day's parking receipt.
