Can someone clarify this for me?

If the Park Hopper (allows you into all 4 parks in 1 day) is $349/ticket for 3 Days... Base price is $289... so basically the Park Hopper option is an extra $60

And the Park Hopper PLUS (allows you into all 4 parks in 1 day and allows access to waterparks, golf, etc).. and its only an additional $15 a ticket...

So do I have to purchase the Park Hopper AND the Park Hopper Plus?
Or does the Park Hopper Plus allow me into all 4 parks + waterparks in one day?

Thank you!

Park Hopper Plus allows all 4 parks and waterparks. You only have to purchase one or the other. Yes the waterpark access is only $15 extra.

I guess the part I'm confused on is why would you pay $60 extra for the park hopper and get LESS options than what you would get if you buy the park hopper plus?

It seems backwards to me

Okay, never mind... I think I figured it out... When I click OFF of the park hopper option on the park ticket page, it takes away the option to do the park hopper plus... so you DO have to purchase the Park Hopper Tickets AND then the Park Hopper Plus is an add on that becomes available once you select park hopper tickets...

I think this is not right. The only way to purchase the PLUS option is if you already have the Park Hopper. You can no longer purchase the waterparks and more option without the Park Hopper option.

Yes, you are correct.

When I was pricing, I didn't realize that I had it on Park Hopper... once I selected 1 Park Per Day Base tickets... the upgrade went away!

Yes - I meant it was $15 above the Park Hopper price to get the waterparks.

Basically the PH option is $60 on top of the base ticket price and PHP is another $15 on top of that so it will cost you $75 more than the base ticket price to park hop and go to the water parks etc.
You're not paying $60 OR $15 you're paying $60 AND $15.
I personally don't care about what is included in PHP so I would spend the $60 to park hop vs the $75 it would cost for park hopping and water parks.

I purchased Water Parks and more ONE time out of 9 trips to Disney . . . . now that the Park Hopper is required in order to add the Water Parks . .. . not a chance, that is something I will never do again. Only reason I purchased it last time was because DS wanted to do Quest, DW loves water parks, and we were going to do Mini Golf too. As it was, we never got to the mini golf, only made it to Quest one time instead of the 2 we had planned, and spent half a day at Typhoon Lagoon. Barely worth the cost in my opinion. Certainly not worth the $75 they want now.

Yeah I find that there's enough in the 4 theme parks that to try to cram other things in gets to be a bit much.
In fact I wouldn't even bother with the park hopper option but the last few trips have been short so we get the park hopper so we can do our favorites at each park in the limited time we have.

But for people who park hop on most trips, the add-on has actually gone down. $15 is really cheap for just one admission to a water park; go more than once and it's a steal.

I think the plus option is definitely more appealing to people who are staying a full week or more, but we LOVE Typhoon Lagoon and try to make it a part of every trip.

Yes, I agree, if you are already paying for park hopping it is not a bad deal. It stinks on ice for someone who isn't interested in park hopping. For me, it isn't a $15 add on, it is a $75 add on, and Quest, which was a significant part of our reason for buying the water park add on, is no more, so it would be a very expensive half day in a water park, and maybe a round of mini golf. For us, it is not at all worth it.
