Park hopper to AP question..

Hi!
I'm coming all the way to Disneyland in January with family and have 4 separate 1 day hopper passes for the 4 days I am in the park during that trip, not the cheapest way to do it, I know but thanks to a lovely friend I have them. My boyfriend has shown an interest in going on a trip next October though and so returning within a year I would like to get an AP. My question is can I use my hopper passes against the value of a deluxe annual passport? If so will I get the face value of each ticket $105 (total $420) or will I only be able to use one ticket against the $379 of the ap?

Unforunately the latter. You can't combine tickets toward an upgrade.

At least your DBF will have 3 days taken care of if they won't expire.

If the 1 day tickets have a value, you may be able to go to guest services BEFORE using them and combine them to use towards an AP. I have heard of people being able to do that. if they are comp tickets they won't have any value even for an upgrade.

They must of been lucky and maybe the OP could be too. Policy is you can't combine tickets of course exceptions happen.

They were told that they could do it because they were all unused and it was going towards a higher valued ticket.

Thank you both for your replies, I had a horrible suspicion that they would now allow me the value of all my tickets, might just use them for this trip and buy a new hopper pass for the next trip, thanks for clearing this up for me

I have done this numerous times with UNUSED tickets. On your first day, you would need to take all the tickets to the booth to upgrade. You cannot combine used tickets. However, if the tickets are COMPLEMENTARY tickets, they don't have a value and as such cannot be upgraded.

When we did it last December, the CM wasn't sure how to do it, but called her lead, who at first said "Only 1 ticket" until it was explained the tickets were unused, then there was no issue. The OP would need to use only 3, or need to use 4 and get a PAP. Can't use 4 to get a DAP as the tickets value would be more than the pass.

While WDW tickets can be used in DLR. DLR tickets can not be used in WDW.

Either place, tickets must be upgraded within 14 days from first use. And the trips are 11 months apart.

You can upgrade a DL AP to the Premiere pass which is a "Premium"
AP for both WDW and DL. With all the discounts we've gotten with it (free parking too) it's more than paid for itself this past year.
