Park Hopper Tix at Resorts

I'm confused (not a hard thing for me sometimes!). I seem to recall reading somewhere that the park hopper passes (or whatever they're called now) are no longer offered at discount for DVC members. On the other hand, I thought I read in a DVC monthly update that they are still offered at discount via the new concierge-type position instead of at the front desk. Which is true? Thanks!

As far as I know the only tickets available using a DVC discount are the annual passes. Maybe others can shed more light.

We never did get a discount on park hopper passes --- we did get a discount on length of stay passes which has been eliminated.

The replacement is a substantial discount on annual passes -- only available to members of your immediate family who also live at your address and can prove it.

You can buy park hopper passes at the concierge desk. I think you can only buy the annual passes at the parks. However, if you purchase the park hoppers on line (I think it needs to be done at least 3 weeks before your trip) or if you are a AAA member and purchase them at a AAA office, you can realize a small discount.

I recently priced three WDW tix outlets.
AAA, Beneplace (my employer's discount) and WDW website.
All were cheaper than the at gate rate.
AAA was the most expensive - Beneplace was sightly less than WDW website --- all were for online purcheses. WDW delivery was the cheapest.

I would probably buy from WDW as they were less than $2 more.

This is one area where the magical pixie dust got mixed up with the mystery pixie dust. And all of the activity around searching for cheaper tix will get you marginal discounts at best.
