park hopper ticket question

Do you remember when you had park hopper, non-exp passes and you could use 3 days and then give them to someone else to use the last two days? Well - I have 2 new 5-day park hoppers, you know the paper ones with the pictures of Minnie and Mickey, that I bought from AAA. Does anyone know if these can still be shared as before - I use one for a few days and then give it to my friend who is going next month? Or would they check your prints like they do with the other passes you get now? Thanks for the advise. One week and counting.

As far as I know the park hopper passes always said they were nontransferable. The new ones do as well, but more importantly there is now an enforcement procedure -- you have to place two fingers in a biometric scanner. (not a fingerprint reader) They are doing this to combat the selling and sharing of used tickets.

Do not buy these tickets with the intention of sharing them.

Exactly correct: Admission was never transferable. Now they have a way of enforcing that.

Thanks - you know I have been going to Disney since the early 70's when you bought the booklets with ABCDE tickets and I traded the little kid ride tickets to someone for their other ride tickets and never realized that that you could not share or trade these tickets. I guess Disney thinks of everything - evn though the tickets are bought and may not ever be used, they don't want anyone else to use them. I don't understand how these unused tickets are sold on Ebay. Anyway now I know.

Unused tickets can be resold.

Used tickets are Nontransferable, and cannot be sold or traded as they must be used by the same person on any and all days.

Unfortunately, with e-bay tickets, you have no way of knowing if the ticket has been used or not.
