Hi guys, quick question!

When park hopping, will we have to go through bag check and security again everytime? Does this take a long time?

Yes you will. The process itself doesn't take long, it just depends on how many people are in front of you. From our experience, it usually doesn't tie us up that long. We always park hop.

You will experience bag check and security each time you switch parks unfortunately, as the wonderful express bus option no longer exists!

Yes, you go through bag check/security each time you enter a different theme park.

The only exception to this would be going from Epcot to MK via monorail (specifically, Epcot line to TTC, then either Express or Resort Monorail or Ferry to MK). If you go that route and assuming you don't leave the TTC secured area or get off at any resorts, you're in a 'secured area' that whole route and won't go through security again at MK (you will have never been outside a secured zone since your original screening at Epcot).

We found the security lines to be very short or nonexistent when hopping midday. This was a few weeks ago during Spring Break.
