Park Hopper Plus Ticket Use ?

I think I know the answer, but I want to make sure I'm right! We're spending 5 nights on property & 4 nights off property. If I buy a 5 day park hopper plus ticket, & we use 4 of the days at the parks while we're staying on property...we can use the 5th day at one of the water parks even after we've checked out of our Disney hotel, correct? Can we visit both water parks on the same day? Are they close enough to one another to allow for that?
Related question: once we've checked out of our hotel, our magic bands can no longer be used for charging purposes?

1. Correct.
2. Yes. (It will use 2 of your Water park "entires," but that won't matter in your case.)
3. Sure. (ANY of the parks at WDW can be reached from any of the others within 7-20 minutes.)
4. Correct.
BTW, if you are NOT visiting more than 4 days at the Theme Parks, you do not need a 5-day ticket.
