Park Hopper Plus questions

Sorry for such simple questions. We've had annual passes for years up until now, so now we're trying to learn the new rules of regular WDW tickets.

Here's the scenario: I buy an 8 day ticket with park hopper plus option. That give me 13 calendar days to actually use it. I have park admissions for any 8 days within that range. I also have 8 "plus" options like golf, mini-golf, water park, etc. within that range.

Question 1: Can we use the "plus" part for admission to a water park or golf on one of the 5 days that we don't actually go into a park?

Question 2: Can we use multiple "plus" activities the same day, meaning water park followed by mini-golf?

Using the above scenario, would it be 8 mini golf plus 8 water park visits, or do the visits to the water park and mini golf combine to make 8 visits total?

8 total, each count as one of the 8. So you could do 4 WP and 4 Mini golf for your 8.

What about using the plus option at the tail end of the trip? In my case we are planning a trip for a long weekend in April. We plan to go the regular parks (non-water parks) 3 days and go to a water park (Typhoon Lagoon) an additional day. I am looking at a 3-day park hopper plus ticket.

If we spend our first 3 days at the traditional parks, are we still able to go to Typhoon Lagoon the 4th day, or will that not be allowed b/c we already visited the regular parks 3 days on a 3 day ticket? Versus going to regular parks two days in a row, then Typhoon Lagoon the 3rd day, and then ending at a regular park for the 3rd park day?
