Park Hopper Plus Question

This may be silly, but I don't know the answer so here goes...
If I have a 5 day park hopper plus, can I go to Typhoon Lagoon on my first day at disney, and it not count against the 5 days I will have in the Main Parks?
Ex. Could I go to TL on Sunday, and still visit the 4 biggies Monday-Friday?

You are correct --- "Plus" options can be used "independent" of regular parkhopping days.

I think you get much more benefit from the features of a PHPlus this way -- rather than use a parkhopping day AND Plus on the same day (then you're only getting a partial day use of each).
