Hi

I am new to this Forum.

Probably this question has been asked a number of times but I tried a search and there is so much info that I got tired trying to find what I need to know.:D

My question is this:

Given that the plus's on the hopper ticket are independent from the major parks, if I were to go to a minor park in the morning, say Blizzard and then to MK in the evening would that count as one plus and one major park, or one overall.

Thanks.

It would count as use of one of the "plus" options for the water park and it would count as one of the "hopper" days for going to magic kingdom. So in effect, you would be using 2 admissions from the ticket. Hope I explained that clearly enough... have a good time :teeth:

Thanks ;)

So essentially out of the 5 days available from a 4 day hopper plus I would have used 2 days.

I am actually thinking of going to Blizzard on a seperate day and MK on another seperate full day. Then on the day we go to Animal Kingdom i will return to MK in the evening. Does this make any sense ?

Makes sense to me. We were planning on going to Typhoon Lagoon one day and then exploring around Boardwalk and eating dinner at ESPN Club that night so that we didn't use a hopper day. You could also play miniature golf or go to Downtown Disney. Have fun, we can't wait, our second trip is coming up on August 31.

Makes perfect sense......this is how the hoppers are supposed to work! The beauty of the hoppers, besides the fact the days never expire, is that you can "stretch" them beyond the actual days on the pass. For example, you purchase a 7-day hopper with 4 plus options. If you went to the water parks on separate days from MK, MGM, Epcot, AK, you could actually get 11 days on that ticket...7 days hopping around in the major parks, then 4 days at the water parks. And like the hopper days, the plus options never expire either! I have 5 tickets from 2000 that have no days left, but each has 2 plus options left-over.

Hope this helps!

The hopper feature allows you to go to any one or all of the four major parks (MK, AK, MGM or EPCOT) on any given day. So you could go to MK in the morning go over to Epcot for lunch, then go to AK in the afternoon and finally go to MGM in the evening. It would only count as one admission. The Plus feature allow you to go to any of the minor parks. You can use the plus feature to get into Disney Quest or a water park. However it will count as one days admission to any of the minor parks on the day you use it. If you use the hopper pass for admission to a Major park and then decide to go to a minor park it will cost you one day of the hopper pass and one day for the minor Plus feature. Hope this helps.

This is not correct. The Plus feature can be used for a water park or for Pleasure Island, NOT for Disney Quest.

No, you would have used ONE day....
here's how the hopper-plusses work...
If you have a 5-day PHP, you have 5 days that you can hop amongst the major parks (MK,EC,MGM,AK) PLUS 2 options....
If you have a 4-day PHP, you have 4 days that you can hop amongst the major parks (MK,EC,MGM,AK) PLUS 1 option....
In the scenario you provided above, you would be using One "Day" and One "Plus".

You can use the plusses without using a day....
For example, you could have a 7 day trip with a 5dayPHP if you use the pass like this:
Spend 5 days at the major parks (mon-fri, for example) and spend 2 days at the water parks (sat-sun for example)

As stated above, the options (like the park days) never expire. We bought the 5 day + 2 options in 1999 for our family of four. It was pretty cold during our stay, so we didn't go to any of the water parks (kids were too young to do Pleasure Island). We did, however, use all of our Park days. In 2002, we used one option for Blizzard Beach. This year we still have one option left which we'll use, hopefully, at one of the water parks.

So, the last two trips we saved by only having to buy the Park Hopper since we already had options.
