Have just ordered some 5 day park hopper plus passes from the lady who owns the villa we are staying at in Southern Dunes - price is £181 is that a good price?? Has anyone got them cheaper than that? Also has anyone ever stayed at Southern Dunes, Haines City?? Any info would be greatfully received.

Thanks

quick - stop that purchase!

You can get 10 day passes for £188 from a number of outlets. Virgin Travel Store is one, and the other is http://www.theflightshop.co.uk/theme.htm - or I think Lunn Poly are £199.

Actually before you have a heartattack - it depends when you are travelling - the cheap 10 day ticket is only good for certain dates.
First entry to the park must occur after 01st May and no later than 31st October, 2002
and they must be bought before 31st May.

the 5 day hopper is £184 on flightshop website, so I think £181 is not bad under normal circumstances - but if you are travelling May to November, then the 10 day ticket is a bargain.

Thanks Bev

We are going for 3 weeks but I didn't think we needed the 10 day pass as we have a Universal bonus pass which is for 7 consecutive days at US, IoA and citywalk, plus we are going to Discovery Cove which I think gives you a few days at Seaworld and the 5 day hopper pass also gives you a couple of days at a selection of water parks, so we were hoping to give ourselves a bit of a breather in between. We might also throw in a day at Busch Gardens as well if we can fit it in. what do you think?

Honestly - I would get the 10 day pass - it's only an extra fiver, and it will give you so much more flexibility.

There are 4 parks that you will want to visit- with the 5 day pass, that means 4 long days trying to cram as much as possible in, and a fifth day wondering which of the parks to return too, when there are things you have missed at all of them.
Whereas with the 10 day pass you can come and go as you please, and do a couple of half days, maybe even just pop in one evening for the parades etc. I actually believe that a longer pass makes for a more relaxing vacation.

Thanks for the info - I will speak to the rest of the gang (there are 12 of us going)

I agree with Bev,

We have just returned from 3 weeks and had Length of stay passes and the 5 park flex ticket (valid for 14 days).

It was so hot when we were there that we went to a park on a morning then left for either a water park or swimming at the hotel then we went back to the park on a night.

If we had only had a 5 day hopper we would have had to stay in the park all day to see and do everything . We find it is better to have the flexibility to come and go as we please and have a rest in the middle of the day.

Plus the 10 day pass gives you a free breakfast and access to DisneyQuest so is probably cheaper in the long run.

and the 5 day hopper pass also gives you a couple of days at a selection of water parks
The 10 day pass gives you ten days in any of the 4 main parks AND the water parks AND DisneyQuest AND includes a character breakfast.

The only time I would suggest getting the 5 day hopper instead, and saving the £5, would be if your dates didn't tie in with the 10 day offer or if you knew you would have days left on the 5 day pass which you would definitely use on another trip (the 10 day passes expire, the 5 day ones don't).

I'd forgotten about the character breakfast - that actually makes it cheaper than the 5 day pass!

I think you've made the right choice :D I've just ordered mine this morning - in the end I went with Callers Pegasus who were slightly more expensive (£199) because they are located next door to my office and I use them all the time.

Thanks for all your advice - I actually booked the 10 day world passes yesterday at flightshop.co.uk they were £188 each - everyone in our group all agreed what a good buy they were and like some of you say the flexibility of it is so much better. These discussion pages are brilliant - to think I wouldn't have thought to buy the world tickets if it wernt for you guys. So thanks again.
