For our last day at Disney, I want to do a princess character meal for my 3 DD's (ages 9, 7, 4). We don't have tickets for the parks that day so it'll have to be at a resort. I have reservations for the Bon Voyage breakfast and the 1900 Park Fare dinner. We can only do one meal. Which should I drop? I

Unless one of your kids really wants Cinderella, I would do Bon Voyage. The food is first rate, there are two princesses and two princes (all of whom come to your table) and it is the only place to see Flynn and Eric. It is not a buffet - but the amount of food that you get is more than a person should eat in a a day. Plus - you can turn it into a quasi buffet by ordering different things and sharing. It is our favorite character meal.

I think 1900 is Winnie the poo mad hatter and Alice for breakfast so if you need princesses bon voyage is you best bet.

I think OP said dinner for 1900. I've only heard great things about Bon Voyage, but I've also heard the Tremain (sp?) Sisters are the best characters at 1900 dinner (but the best interactions are with male guests they're trying to get to fall in love with them).

Yes this is true about male guests. Stepsisters are hilarious. The food at dinner sucked though. Bad quality and variety. Never again.

This is what I'm afraid of. DH will be complaining about the price we're paying for bad food. And I was hoping a buffet would offer more variety for the kids to choose from. While the adult selections at Bon Voyage look really good, I'm not sure my kids will eat the kids meal.

In addition to the fancier stuff for kids, there's waffles and pancakes. Will they not eat those? Its served with fruit, bacon or sausage, and juice/milk.

From the pictures I've seen, they might not eat the waffles and pancakes. The waffles look more like Belgium waffles and they won't eat those, even if it has a character on them (I know, strange kids). They'll eat the steak but they won't touch egg substitute (and I don't blame them).

So do I take the chance that they'll eat part of their meal (they'll definitely eat the fruit) and interact with characters they like more or go with the place that might have more options for them and interact with characters that they like but not as much as the others?

So many decisions to make....

My son doesn't like eggs, so the kids check meals wouldn't work for us either, but there are kids pancakes as well as Mickey waffles they can choose from. It also looks like you get pastries and yogurt to start out with.

Are you on a dining plan? For your family of 5 it would cost about $180 + tip (~$36) for 1900 dinner vs. $120 + tip (~$24) for Bon Voyage. If you're using a TS credit it doesn't really matter.

I'd be surprised, if they wouldn't bring them regular scrambled eggs instead. If the scrambled eggs don't come in with tomato & basil already added, they definitely would. If they get them frozen with tomato & basil added & basically heat them up, I wouldn't want to eat there anyway. :p Hopefully, someone who has eaten there & has asked will chime in.

This is a tough one! 1900 PF dinner is one of our favorites...we think the food is decent and the characters are the VERY BEST! We just went to Bon Voyage a few weeks ago...food was also decent and the princes are the real stars. We loved meeting Eric and (especially) Flynn.
