Park Entry and Tickets

So my husband and I are going to the World in November. First time, yeah!! We bought a package through Costco and are staying at the Swan. Our room reservation is linked on MDE as are our tickets through the package. We have dining reservations, fastpasses, etc. but it occurs to me that the one thing we don't have nor I expect will be getting is physical tickets.

I don't think this is a problem but it seems like as I learn the copious amounts of things that are apparently necessary for us to have a carefree vacation that knowing how we actually get into the park would probably be a good thing.

Our first park entry should be through the International Gateway of Epcot if that matters.

Stop by the IG ticket window with your MDE info and ID; they will give you plastic tickets to use to enter the parks and fastpass lines.

If we buy magic bands and link them can we use that for park entry and to prove we're staying at an EMH resort? Or do we still have to get plastic tickets and show our room key. We're thinking of doing a lot of EMH and would like to make the process as easy as possible. Even with the magic bands we would still have to stop at the ticket window to show IDs and the like, right?

The directions for IG is for people without MBs.

If you link your MBs prior to entering a park, you won't need to stop anywhere. Enter the park without the need for tickets.

Well that's pretty much worth the price of magic bands to me, plus it seems like they would be pretty good souvenirs.
