I recently went to WDW with my DS, DDIL, & 2 DGDs. When we went to Epcot on our 1st park day, the CM at the entrance told my DS to scan his finger for my 2 DGDs since they are small. We didn't think too much of it until I wanted to take 1 of the girls with me to a park alone. I realized that I couldn't because my DS wouldn't be with us to scan his finger at the entrance. :(. It wasn't a huge deal, but just a disappointment. So, FYI to families--scan the childs finger--even if it takes an extra minute to do it. The CM was just trying to keep the line moving--but it turned out to be a problem later on.

My 7yo scanned his own finger, no one scanned a finger for my 1 1/2yo as he was too young for a ticket. I don't understand why they would've asked for him to scan his finger for their ticket, it takes the same length of time to scan an adult finger as it does a child, if you help them.

My almost 7yr old and 4yr old never scanned their fingers and we had no problem with it... Grandma and Grandpa even took them into Epcot without DH and I one day...

My 5 year old's and three year old had to scan their bands, but not their fingers every time we entered a park this December. Half of the days at least one of the kids didn't want to wear the band, so I usually had two or three on my arm. I'd just scan them and we would go in. They always turned green with no finger (I had to use my finger for my band).
