Our departure flight is 8:55 pm, domestic. I am assuming our ME assigned tie will be between 5:30 and 6 pm. What time would you advise we leave MK? This is the Thursday of President's week which I believe is also the first day of the Princess 1/2 marathon weekend, if that makes a difference. Trying to decide what our last FP+ time frame should be. I'm thinking we should plan to be in line for the bus back to ASSports by 4:30...we will have already checked out that morning and just need to reclaim our bags.

Keep in mind you need to be at the DME stop at least 15 mins before the stated time. I would leave MK no later 3:45, 4pm at the latest.

I prefer to stay calm at the end of the trip and the possibility of being late for anything makes me incredibly anxious. I like to have plenty of time and not have to rush around like a crazy person.

8:55 departure, be READY for DME at 5: 40. Retrieve checked carryons can take a little time, so be in line for luggage services to get them at, oh, 5:20? I've never taken the bus to or from Sports so you would know best how long that can take (and we have really bad luck with buses sometimes). But basically just calculate backwards, padding in bunches of time for "just in case" moments.

I would build in at least 30 minutes beyond what "looks" like enough time.:)

If you get back to Sports early, you can always grab a bite in End Zone, browse through Sport Goofy, play in the Arcade, etc. to kill the time.:)

I always allow for an hour and a half before the Magical Depress pick up time. by the time everybody gets the carry-ons, goes to the bathroom and gets a snack all the time is used up. The hour and a half time also allows for park bus delays which are inevitable and the dance of the Bell hops which really can take 15 mins. to find your luggage.

If time is an issue , you can always take a cab back to the resort.

I have a very similar flight time for our departure in a few weeks, and my plan was to head to the gates at MK at 3pm to head back to AoA. I'd rather be a bit early than cut it late. lol

In order to do that, they'd have to walk to the Contemporary and then wait for a cab, or take either the monorail or ferry to the TTC to get a cab there. They might as well wait for a bus.

Thanks for the input! Our last FP at SpMtn is 2:55-3:55, so we will make sure to get there for the 2:55 and depart from there. I will try to move it sooner in the meantime, but currently I can't as 7DMT is right before and I can't change that due to no availability right now! Since this is our last day, we could decide we are done with MK and change the whole plan anyway earlier in the week. As it is we planned on EMH RD this day at MK, but they changed the EMH to evening 12am-2am and took away the am ones!:(

Sounds like a good plan...we arrived back to our resort earlier than we expected our last trip and got onto an earlier bus. Our bus was scheduled to leave twenty minutes later and there was room on the earlier bus.

Shoot to be back at your resort an hour before your Magical Express bus time. This will probably have you stepping out the park front gates at about 3:45.
